The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers holds a workshop to discuss the investment map in Iraq for 2019

The workshop, which was conducted by Dr. Turhan Mufti, included several axes, the most prominent of which is the presentation of an updated investment map through the deletion, modification and addition in the light of the previous achievement, taking into account the element of time in the preparation of the map, changing the requirements and growing the needs of the community. Assessment of the legal framework for public investment, environmental assessment of the investment climate and the responsiveness of government institutions to business requirements, and focus on investment opportunities producing other opportunities in order to create an investment cycle and create an integrated vision between the cat Public and private sectors in the field of investment, emphasizing the protection of local product and consumer protection, and giving investment opportunities producing employment opportunities attention and giving them priority in order to address unemployment.

The workshop discussed the axes mentioned and the mechanism to implement them, and the possibility of deleting the investment opportunities that have been offered for periods of time and no one to invest them, and focus on investment opportunities in the short and medium term that address the needs of the community, and identify shortcomings in the work of government institutions and work to simplify procedures in this regard To create a promising investment environment and climate.

The workshop aims at developing the investment sector in the country, encouraging local industries, protecting the product, taking into consideration the quality of the production, enabling it to compete with the imported product, protecting the consumer, tackling unemployment, providing job opportunities for university graduates and employing and supporting manpower.
