An Iraqi newspaper revealed Thursday that 10 million dollars were found under rubble at the University of Mosul , indicating that the amount had been seized.

The newspaper quoted local and security sources in Mosul as saying that "an amount of $ 10 million was found under the rubble of the building inside the University of Mosul, which was an organization that used it as a headquarters for the so-called Al-Hesba and Beit Al-Mal."

The sources added that "workers found the money under the ruins of the building bombed by American fighters in 2017, during the liberation of the city from the control of the organization, which the university is currently seeking to reconstruct and rehabilitation of the different buildings of the university," noting that "the reservation has been held."

It is noteworthy that the organization "Daash" dominated the province of Nineveh fully in June 2014, where it took from its government buildings headquarters, including the University of Mosul, which became the center of the so-called Diwan Al-Hesba and Beit Al-Mal, but the security forces managed to liberate the province in full in late month In 2017.
