The current decline of 80% in electronic currencies is worse than the dot.com bubble at the beginning of this century.
The index, which tracks the performance of 10 electronic currencies, was 80 percent lower on Wednesday than at the beginning of the year.
The decline is currently outpacing the decline suffered by the NASDAQ index at the time of the dot.com bubble, which was estimated at 78%.
Contrary to expectations by investors and many analysts last year that electronic currencies will see further gains in 2018, these currencies are experiencing a sharp downturn this year.
After nearly $ 1 trillion in market capitalization at the end of last year, that value has now fallen to $ 187 billion.
E-currencies have seen a tightening in trading by lawmakers within governments of many countries around the world by issuing laws aimed at reducing or limiting their trading.
The currency of the "ethrium" led the losses of electronic currencies today, and by 11:10 am GMT fell by about 11% to $ 172.
The "Betacon" currency dropped 0.9% at $ 6280.7, while the ruble fell to $ 0.27765.
Petcown also fell by 10.6% to $ 417.8, and the OOS currency fell 2.4% to $ 4.9.

Bitcoin is really a curious currency. Nobody knows what is going to happen to it in the future but there are some property for sale in Spain https://tranio.com/spain/ that you can buy with only bitcoins. So who knows how it is going to expand...
