(Reuters) - Iran is determined to expand its presence in the Iraqi market in line with the interests of both countries, the country's trade adviser in Baghdad, Nasir Behrouz, said on Wednesday.

The official IRNA news agency quoted Behrooz as saying that trade between the two countries is proceeding normally and that the export and import process is carried out through all border crossings between the two countries and there are no problems there.

He pointed out that during the last four months, 2.7 billion dollars of Iranian goods have been exported to Iraq, an increase of 24% and 14% weight compared to the same period last year, indicating that this quantity is increasing continuously.

During the same period, imports from Iraq increased by 11 percent, he said.

The commercial level between Iran and Iraq is $ 10 billion a year.
