If the steps for the RI were completed in the 1st quarter, and they are implementing that in the 2nd quarter, why are we going into the 2nd month of the 3rd quarter ?????(august) . We were told to respect the 1st quarter, we did... now we've respected the 2nd quarter and part of 3.... where does this end???

IMO, this ends when The Man makes a deal with Iran, or resolves the banking situation, or resolves whatever other very serious problem is holding this up. I no longer believe this is about Iraq. They could have counted the votes ten times by now if they were using their fingers and toes. I will say though that I personally believe whatever is being done is for our good. I believe in Trump and I know he wants this to be a win for everybody, but especially us. As frustrating as this is, just occupy your mind with something else, if you can, for awhile and I believe they will resolve it soon.

Agreed Chris we are waiting on the new GOI article to come out but they are holding off on releasing....for various reasons I'm assuming as that will be the BIG domino that knocks the rest down... imo imo imo

We have been told to look for this word to come as a precursor to our investment. The launch of paying dues should grab ones attention. Pay dues with what? Tammimi spoke of a new economy and with new paper. I am not saying this is the second article, but, it sure fits the bill as one that may lead the way for it!! imo ~ MM

Iraq Sets Up A Map To Link Its Electricity With The Gulf States

The Iraqi Foreign Ministry said there had been significant progress in talks with Saudi Arabia to supply the country with electricity.
“His country is trying to reach an electric link with the Gulf states,” an Iraqi foreign ministry spokesman was quoted as saying.
He added that “we have a clear road map for the electric connection with the Gulf states,” saying that “the understandings coming with the Gulf countries will go beyond the subject of electric linkage.”
The Iranian government has cut the power supply line to the southern provinces of Iraq, causing a major crisis that has developed into popular protests.
The Iraqi government has decided to supply Kuwait with fuel for power plants as a temporary solution that would lead to agreements between Baghdad, Riyadh and Kuwait to provide Iraq with electricity instead of Tehran, which faces difficult economic conditions after Washington imposed economic sanctions.

"All the teachers and teachers who were appointed in 2006 will be compensated for the bonuses they did not receive," said Sulran Omar, director general of the Halabja Education Agency.
"According to a press statement," because of the difference in allowances for teachers and teachers who were appointed in 2006, and about 180 teachers, the Ministry of Education in the Kurdistan region to compensate them starting Sunday."
He added that "the amount allocated as compensation for teachers of 110 million dinars," pointing out that "the Directorate prepared a list of names of those covered by compensation." LINK

The financial adviser to the Prime Minister, the appearance of Mohammed Saleh, on Sunday, Iraq's success in filling the deficit of its budget for the current fiscal year
Saleh said in a statement quoted by the newspaper "the new morning", and briefed by "economy News", "Iraq succeeded to a certain extent to fill the budget deficit of 13 trillion dinars during the current fiscal year," adding "the possibility of providing a supplementary budget in the event of a Financial assets exceeding the process of filling the deficit, in accordance with the Financial Management and Public Debt Law No. (95) for the year 2004
He pointed out that "the supplementary budget can carry new projects provided for by the tables of the investment section of the law," saying that "the price of a barrel of oil under this budget will be changed, such as up to $ 65 instead of $ 45, or at other rates as the Government deems appropriate Economic situation
It is noteworthy that the House of Representatives, voted before the end of its legislative session on the budget law for the year 2018 amounts up to 104 trillion dinars LINK

A member of the parliamentary finance committee in the Parliament of the Kurdistan region Ali Hama Saleh, on Sunday, the control of the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the National Union on the imports of two important implementers, pointing out that the oil revenues of the region no one knows its fate.
"All the oil revenues in the Kurdistan region are placed in the Kurdistan National Bank. No one knows the size of these revenues except Prime Minister Nechervan Barzani, his deputy Qubad Talabani and Minister of Natural Resources Ashti Hawrami," Saleh told Mawazine News. "We have asked more than once to clarify about the oil revenues, especially with the increase in prices on world markets, but the government did not respond to our request," Saleh said. "The two main Democratic parties and the National Union share the files of corruption and there is a part of the oil revenues obtained by the National Union."
Saleh pointed out that "the file of border crossings is one of the most corrupt files, and the implementation of Ibrahim Khalil in Zakho and Haj Omran in Sulaymaniyah generate millions of dollars and managed from the influential parties in the two parties." LINK

The legal expert Tariq Harb said on Sunday, July 29, 2018, that the Prime Minister does not have the power to sack ministers, but he has the power to withdraw the hand, indicating that the withdrawal decision means a suspension of work for a period determined by the Council of Ministers.
"The decision to dismiss the ministers from their posts is within the jurisdiction of the House of Representatives and since the Council is inoperative, it is the right of Prime Minister Haider Abadi to exercise his constitutional authority by taking the hand of the Minister of Electricity Fahdawi," he said.
He added that "the law of state discipline explains the decision to withdraw the hand as a suspension from work altogether and withdraw all the powers granted to the employee or the minister for a period determined by the highest administrative authority."
Prime Minister Haider Abadi ordered earlier on Sunday to withdraw the hand of electricity minister Qassem al-Fahdawi against the backdrop of the deterioration of energy services in the country. LINK

What does one have to do with the other? Currency rate and wanting to invest in a country? Not necessarily tied together. This logic is flawed
