ScottiG's post at 6 p.m.???

As many of us do, I clicked on the Scotti G post at 6 pm. After reading twice, I am still at a loss as to what the message was intended to bring to all the dinarians waiting patiently for solid intel, especially when today was geared to the possible conclusion of the RV. Did I miss something? What exactly was the purpose of the post?

You asked and so from my point of view, I'll answer:

I think it was clearly (but in a veiled way) to let everyone know that he (Scotti g) is going to be a part of the new BGG pay site...at least that is what I got from the post at 6pm. Whether he is actually affiliated with the new site is unclear, but what IS clear, he in a round-about way, endorsed it. Let it be known that THAT is all I got from his posting.

My gut says that it was by design...your gut may vary.

This was the lame part of the post for me...when Scotti was asked (btw, was that a planted ?) and he answered:

6:30 PM [dinariqd] scotti g What is the new site?
6:30 PM [scotti g] dinariqd NOT to be concerned. It is a pay site that BGG set up. I don't even remember the name at the moment.

Yeah, right...I'm going over there later, but I don't remember the site. Sorry, but my thought right now is: We must appear to be idiots to some of these folks.

Scotti g is posted in forums under oom skuttlebutt and he does say oom is his home but he will be visiting the other site. Now scotti has always been cool with us before so lets at least give him the benefit of the doubt before we start casting stones. If I am friends with two and they become enemies I am still friends with both and tell them that I will not choose sides. We have the new site breaking ground tomorrow so everyone get ready and hearing great opportunity for RV tomorrow so lets focus on better things. We have enough in real life outside of dinar world to worry about than some post.

show me where I said oom was going to be a paid site. We are upgrading chat only I was just informed to keep from crashing. I'm not going anywhere. The new chat won't go live for few more days here at oom.

Excuse me for my mis-understanding.

When you mentioned the "new site", it almost sounded like the new site that Scotti g had just mentioned and it appeared as though that was the site you were talking about. My mistake...you have clearly said it will be the new "non-crashing" OOM chat site. Thanks for the clarification.
