The Ministry of Agriculture announced on Wednesday that the Ministry of Finance allocated more than 200 billion dinars as soft loans to farmers and farmers, stressing that the loans will have limited and soft benefits.

"The Ministry of Finance, in cooperation and coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture and the Agricultural Cooperative Bank, has transferred 200 billion dinars to the Lending Fund to facilitate the release of soft loans to farmers," said Mehdi Sahr al-Jubouri, the administrative agent of the Ministry of Agriculture. "The loans that will be launched during the next few months will be limited and soft benefits and according to the previous lending funds that were launched to support livestock projects, horticulture and mechanization, in addition to providing advances to small farmers for the establishment of various agricultural projects."

He explained that "the aim of allocating these funds and providing them as soft loans for workers in the agricultural sector is to support and develop this important sector, both vegetative and animal, especially as it serves a large and important segment in society."

Jubouri pointed out that "these loans will also contribute to the creation of job opportunities for the unemployed through the implementation of these small and medium enterprises," and expressed the hope that "this step contributes to the emergence of additional qualitative leap in the agricultural sector in addition to what the Ministry was able to achieve through its support Unlimited access to this important sector. "
