Hang in there everybody. Frank26: "MY HEART IS CELEBRATING.....YOU WILL TOO SOON...."

CharlieOK:
OK; Sadr said he was giving A his votes. The understanding is allegedly that A has to agree to the MR. However; does A coming in a ridiculous third place position place S plus A in a non-control position?

Briona:
Abadi will continue to be the Prime Minister and should function as he did prior to the election, but I think, now Iraq is better off with Iran's influence diminished.

CharlieOK, that is the way Iraqs parliament works. Remember when Maliki became Prime Minister, even though he did not win the election…. The winner makes the decision, and he felt Abadi was the better man to pick as PM.

I believe Sadr's winning is actually a better outcome for Iraq, as he will keep pressure on Abadi, that he didn't have before, to get the monetary reform done, to get control of corruption, and keep Iran's influence to a minimum.

Thanks to Ed in chat for bringing this in. It would not copy and paste so I retyped it. Any errors in spelling, content are mine - Sunny
