The Integrity Commission announced on Sunday that it had seized cases of 'fraud and embezzlement' in the accounts of the commercial branch of the Rasheed Bank, while pointing out that these cases caused a waste of public money estimated at 18 billion dinars, pointing out that the control was carried out in cooperation with the Office of the Inspector General of the Ministry of Finance.
The Department of Investigation of the Authority, it 'carried out a seizure on the basis of a judicial note in the commercial branch of the Bank of Rasheed after receiving information on the existence of cases of fraud and embezzlement in the accounts of the branch of the bank and the amounts of billions of dinars'.
She added that she was able to control two female employees who were referred with the preliminary investigation papers to the Court of Inquiry on Integrity, Money Laundering and Economic Crime in accordance with Article 315 of the Iraqi Penal Code.
"The preliminary investigations that led to the two female officers, who attend to the court, which were working in the accounts of the branch, to carry out manipulation and embezzlement in the accounts of the bank caused a waste of public money estimated at 18 billion dinars.
