The Ministry of Finance and Economy in the Kurdistan Regional Government is scheduled to submit a proposal to head the government to reduce the saving of salaries of the region's employees.

And meets on Sunday the Supreme Council of Oil and Gas in the Kurdistan Regional Government, headed by Nechirvan Barzani, Prime Minister of the region.

During the meeting, the proposal of the Ministry of Finance will be discussed by reducing the savings of salaries of the region's employees from 70% to 30%.

This comes as the protests of teachers, doctors and health workers in the province began on Sunday.

The Kurdistan Regional Government resorted to the system of savings in salaries, after cutting Baghdad for the share of the region of the federal budget since 2013, and attacks on the Kurdistan region in 2014, coupled with the global decline in oil prices, causing a financial crisis for the region.
