I gotta be honest here...I think you could do A THOUSAND times better for
maybe $200-$400 at Harbor Freight !

Seriously, this is nothing more than a SMALL battery with 2 cheap Solar
panels added on. The best you could do with this unit you have linked to
is probably...I don't know....give a happy jolt to the fish in your aquarium
once a week after the battery is tricle charged a few days off the panels !

For maybe just over $1,000 you might could get a 1,880 watt Soalr/Battery
Backup unit made by DURACELL online...or something similar...and have
several hours of backup for just small items...TV, PC, Internet modem, even
a small fridge if power is out a while. But not much more than a couple of hours.

It all depends on how much stuff you want to run, and how much juice it needs.

My new SONY 55" LED 3D TV says it needs 85 Watts...and old tube tv about
32" may need 250-400 Watts. So a couple of hours more usage time.

A small (2,000 Watt) HONDA gas powered generator is ALWAYS your best bet for
long term ! And they run about 15 hours on one gallon of gas !

A true solar setup is still very $$$$$, and only charges batteries anyway. But
remember, the more battery Ah (Amp-hours) the longer the stuff can run.
