Economy News Baghdad

The Kuwait International Conference on Iraq Reconstruction witnessed an unprecedented support by donor countries, which reached more than 10 billion dollars.

The state sponsor of the conference, Kuwait, allocated two billion to lend to Iraq, one of which is to stimulate the investment sector.

Saudi Arabia has allocated $ 1.5 billion in support of the reconstruction of Iraq, while Qatar has contributed $ 1 billion in loans and investments. The United Arab Emirates has provided $ 500 million to rebuild Iraq.

Turkey has announced a $ 5 billion credit line that will contribute to its reconstruction.

While Australia provided $ 100 million in direct support to contribute to the reconstruction of Iraq and only $ 10 million for the implementation of humanitarian projects in Iraq and pledged to train the armed forces.

Korea is donating $ 10 million for reconstruction and allocating $ 11 million to implement investment projects in Iraq. Malaysia has donated $ 100,000 to rebuild Iraq.
