Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi began campaigning for his new alliance early, boasting the official Iraqi government accounts in social networking sites, drawing criticism in the political circles.

The official accounts of the Prime Minister's Information Office were published on the social networking sites Facebook and Twitter, a statement to Abbadi praising and promoting his new electoral alliance. The publication said: «Abbadi: a coalition of victory works for all Iraqis and strengthens the unity of the country and its national sovereignty».

Political analyst and Iraqi writer Hisham al-Hashemi, drew sharp criticism of Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi in a publication on Twitter  : "The official government accounts on the platforms of social networking are windows of the public service and the financing of public money, and not to promote the government forces occupying the office electrically .

Saying that this behavior «a big leap calculated on Dr. Abbadi», as he put it.

It is worth mentioning that the accounts of the Prime Minister's Information Office on social networking sites have been deleted following the wave of criticism.
