The price of the local currency in Iran on Tuesday saw a sharp drop against the US dollar as a result of events in Iran.

Currency traders from Tehran told Shafak News that local currency prices, which have been declining markedly and rapidly since protests began in Iran.

Traders said that the exchange rate of one US dollar was 4349 Iranian tomans.

Several Iranian cities have been protesting for better living standards, involving tens of thousands of people, the biggest since unrest in 2009 following elections that brought President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to a new election in a controversial ballot.

Iranian state television reported on Monday that 12 people were killed in the protests, including 10 killed on Sunday.

First, it was the Rial, and then it was the Toman, they are NOW using the dollar, I think the Iranian country of morons needs to make up their f'kn mind as to which currency fits them better- question
