Economy News Baghdad:

The Finance Committee in the House of Representatives on Monday, the passage of the budget in 2018 against the submission of the government final accounts for the budget for 2017.

"The Finance Committee is seeking to obtain the final accounts for the budget for the current year 2017 as the basis that we can know the size of government expenditures and how to cover or reduce them," said member of the Committee, Jabbar Abdul-Khaleq Al-Abbadi said in an interview with "Economy News."

Abadi added that "the existence of final accounts is a prerequisite for the approval of the federal budget for the year 2018, which works on the Committee," noting that "the delay in the presentation of the final accounts will delay the completion of the budget next year because we do not want to balance without final accounts."
