Ok, need some input
Most of you that have read my posts realize I hate the BS artists and con men we ridicule here on a daily basis, and gleefully I might add. And no, this is not a bank story.
However, an odd thing happened to me last night and I am sure there is a simple explanation.
I average about 100 hotel room nights a year and live in airports going one place or another, and while I was caught up in the heady enthusiasm of a GCR, I regularly accosted the airport currency exchange dealers with breathless anticipation. As you can imagine, that enthusiasm has dropped precipitously in the last couple of years.
Anyway, I was in the Atlanta airport last night, in Terminal B, and we had a weather delay. Right across from B15 was a currency kiosk and the girl working it was hot. Being single, it isn't difficult to imagine that I sauntered over there to chat, because I'm single and a horn dog.
Anyway, I asked her about several currencies, and when I asked her about the Iraqi Dinar, she did the inputs, and for the first time I recall, it actually came up on her screen as a currency, little flag denoting the country and everything, along the other computation stuff, and it made me realize someone had made the effort to (recently) put it up there. So, there I was, torn between staring down her shirt and actually looking at the screen. The Dinar had no values across the computation lines that I saw on the computer screen, only dashes, but she commented that people regularly ask her about the Dinar and this is the first time she has seen it up there.
Opinions?

Er
Er, er, I think you "handled" it well.
To prolong my stay at the kiosk, I think I would have asked to see the zim, rupiah, Afghan, and dong (I might have smirked a little).
I might have asked to take a picture of the screen, accidentally getting her in the frame. I mean, you might have had a good memory to take with you on the plane.
I am single, and a dirty old man. I might have missed my flight going alphabetically down all the currencies in the world, depending on how good the scenery really was.
But, being realistic, there was not much more you could have done, and thanks for sharing.
If you were looking for a comment about the dashes next to the dinar, forget it!

Re: Ok, need some input
Actually, I did ask about the dong and the rate they were selling it was about $9USD lower per million than I bought it at Chase Bank 18 months ago. The Rupiah wasn't too far off what I remember. They did not have the Iranian Rial at all, and I was not even going to ask about the Zim.
You are correct. I should have taken a picture of the screen. I was on my third weather delay and didn't even think about it. I was surprised to see the Dinar pop up there, though.
I not traveling again until the 14th, so Ill see what the currency peddlers are showing and I will take a picture.
