The Parliamentary Education Committee on Wednesday revealed the inability of the Ministry of Education to print the curricula inside Iraq because of a monopoly contract signed with a Lebanese company, while accusing the Ministry of Education of being one of the most corrupt ministries.

"There is a contract signed at the time of the previous government with a Lebanese company specialized in printing affairs for seven years and the rest of it is five years to print the Iraqi curriculum," said Sirwan Abdullah, head of the parliamentary education committee.

"The Ministry of Education has imported special bodies to achieve autonomy in printing curricula in the near future," he said. "The Ministry of Education is one of the most ministries with property and staff in the country, but among the most corrupt ministries."
