"Bitcoin" works thru a simple and therefore ingenious exchange method (peer to peer - no intermediary) using the "Blockchain algorythm". IT 'natuarally' is open and systemic corruption is virtually non-existent and difficult to accomplish.

the blockchain concept is so efficient and functional, it is being (borrowed) by other entities for other projects as well. Bitcoin defies the odds and has become an alternate currency. The greatest 'issue/problem' is that it is "electronic-based" therein lies it's strength and greatest weakness.(MY OPINION)

One measuring stick I'm also using besides the public info coming out from Iraq is the closeness of the spread at Dinar sites it's below $200 now and I've seen it as much as$350. It's continuing to get closer and closer.

merlyn its a crypto currency.....actually farmed by algorythms.....you run a program and mine a bitcoin within a community....the community then trades it and the more it trades, more its worth......overt ime the community has driven i up to more than gold at times

problem is it goes up fat and crashes just as fast....not real stable at times.....you cant hold it in your hands. regulators have given the no to it being an actual currency of whide worth

merlyn not necessarily....you can buy from the groups but you pay the market rate and hope it goes up.....most do not mine unless you are a member of a group and have the right computer stuff

kind of like futures but with an item that has no real value and you c ant feel in your hand and take to the store and buy a coke. you can buy stuff....even cars from some business that are into the bitcoin world you just transfer it digitally over the net....cant write a check

i do not endorse anything but there is one platform if you wish to do research......onecoin.....they are trying to go public next year in march.....if it goes and you have their coins digitally.....you will do well...they are like 40 cents now and by going public will drive them up to maybe 30 or 40 bucks right away

just do research as these cryptos are a bit sketchy now.......but all things have and infancy so maybe it will take hold if more cryptos are intoduced

I listened to the news last night and say where thousands of web sites and personal computers were hacked due to a flaw in the Michrosoft Windows product. Actually, those that had Microsoft Office were most vulnerable. I do not have that program, happily relieved.

Some of the blackmail messages received by those hacked asked for bitcoins as payment.

I need to look into the bitcoin scam more indepth today.
