Japanese loan for Iraq worth $ 100 million

Japan's embassy in Iraq said today that Tokyo has decided to give Iraq a loan size of approximately $ 100 million within the support humanitarian efforts and anti-terrorism operations in the country.
A statement issued by the Japanese Embassy in Iraq on Tuesday (February 7, 2017), The Tokyo government decided to grant Iraq a loan size of about $ 100 million to support humanitarian efforts and support for infrastructure projects and the fight against terrorism in the country, according to news agency Reuters.
Japan has concluded last January agreement to supply Iraq soft loan worth 235 million US dollars for the rehabilitation of the electricity infrastructure that were damaged in areas extracted from the organization Daesh, as Japan pledged to help Iraq to rehabilitate one of the four units of the plant thermal Hartha near Basra soft loan an additional value of $ 186 million.
