He threatened the cleric Muqtada al-Sadr on Sunday targeting US forces that will participate in the liberation of the city of Mosul process.
Sadr said in response to a question from one of his supporters on the US defense secretary's comments on the dispatch of 560 additional US troops to help Iraqi forces in Mosul restoration process, "they target us."
The Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter said in a July 11, 2016 decision of President Barack Obama to send 560 soldiers, and revealed that the new force tasks will include reconstruction of Qayyarah base and provide "exceptional capabilities to drive edit city of Mosul," as he emphasized that the force will include engineers and support elements of logistical and other military factions.
