Re: slaughter in Paris, France
No, not a tragedy, an atrocity and an act of war. Hopefully, the French will treat it accordingly. BTW the count is currently at 127 killed, but that number is expected to go up some.

Re: slaughter in Paris, France
This was not a terror attack tonight this was the beginning of World War 3.
The Arch Duke Ferdinand moment was indeed the cart vendor in Tunisia. He lit the fuse that sparked the up risings in the Middle East
--which led to a collapse of Libya
--which led to a refugee crisis in Italy, Spain and France.
--which led to the US arming the wrong people in Syria by running guns through Benghazi
--which led to the collapse of Syria and the creation of Isis.
--Which in turn led to the refugee crisis in Europe.
--which led to the first shots tonight in World War Three.
It may not be declared or seen as such for quite some time but make no mistake this is the beginning.
The refugee crisis will when history is written be seen as a Trojan horse invasion by Islamists in Europe. It was aided by the UN, the EU and socialists world wide.
This is a final fulfillment of the chalkboard: "a caliphate will be established and the chaos will spread across the Middle East. Then the chaos will spread to Europe where the socialist, anarchists and Islamists will work together to destabilize Europe and the western world."
Remember, 3 years ago all of the so called experts said that this was nuts. It has all just happened.
What does this lead to now?
A fulfillment of the warning that the rise of hard line communists and fascists will rise with the same hatred not seen since the 1930s in Europe.
But how about here?
As I have been saying for the last few months prepare for three things over the next 18 months.
2 of them have begun to happen this week in France and our universities. Significant impact of the last two make the first happen with total surety.
1. Economic instability (2008+)
2. Islamic instability (9.11+)
3. Domestic Instability (Ferguson /Baltimore +)
What happened in Paris may be the beginning of a much larger movement. Which could spread globally. It is only a matter of time.
The events this week on university campus' will spread and join with civil unrest in cities across the nation. It MAY center around the Democratic convention in Philadelphia.
Pray for our nation.
Pray that the eyes of those who are blind will see, that our hearts will not fail us and that the mouths of our churches are opened. -Glenn Beck

Re: slaughter in Paris, France
This is an incident that affect all throughout the world. When terrorists are allowed to run amok and strike at their whim where ever they choose it is a sad state of affairs indeed.
The thing that has enraged me is that the US Press Corps has done it's usual worst. That's right. The French closed down their media to assist in the efforts of the people trying to enter the buildings and areas that were being held. What do the American Press agents do: yep, broadcast (even plant someone in the bushes to report) everything the terrorists need to combat the actions that were being done to affect a rescue and stop the killing. Yes indeed, freedom of the press. OR is it out and out disregard for human life in the quest for "a scoop or story?" Personally, I think it is time to put a collar on the press and pass legislation that restricts their reporting and investigation of incidents where terror or war or crime is concerned that would impede the progress of the powers that are in fact trying to put a stop to the madness/save lives/and or ensure the safety of all to include the reduction of collateral damage. Sorry, but the media has long ago exceeded it's efforts and gone beyond the bounds of human decency - personal opinion.
Those that lost their lives and those that were injured remind us of the Boston Marathon, The
Twin Towers, The Cole, and all the other senseless slaughter that has gone on over the years. I grieve for those who lost their lives and for their families. May the good Lord protect them and ease their sorrow. No matter the nationality, the end result of such cowardly actions as these remains the same world wide. Justice needs to be done in such a manner that others will not dare try to copy it.

While I do not disagree with your opinion of the press, I would be very, very leary of any sort of legislation that would restrict the freedom of the press or any of our other constitutionally guaranteed freedoms. That is a slippery slope it would behoove us to steer well clear of.

Re: slaughter in Paris, France
Slippery slope or not it is ludicrous for the press to give aid and information to our enemy(ies). AND that is exactly what they do when they broadcast troop positions, tactics, plans, processes and other technical information and air it while a situation is going on. In the case of the Paris incident they had been asked to vacate the area (the French had asked all French media to cease while the operation was going on) and what did WE do? WE leave some dude basically in the bushes to report and then air everything under the sun. Not only for that incident but one of the so called brighter fools gets on world media and broadcasts the security or lack there of of various American Sports and Entertainment venues.
I would have to view this not as freedom of the press but out and out giving aid and information to the enemy. Debate this all you want, but the end result is they provide(d) crucial information to the terrorists when that information should have been kept from them. In the case of our facilities - how darn dumb can one get. NOW they have a free shot at us - THANK YOU MEDIA PEOPLE -- with more of you we should all be toast the next time a terrorist organization decides to visit our shores. Really great.
So tell me, is your life worth a little legislation that restricts the press/media from divulging crucial that would give aid to our enemies at a crucial time? I certainly would not be afraid to allow that clause to be added into the freedom of the press section as an addendum. Care be damned as far as our rights are concerned - life is worth something and these media rats only think of their own fame and selling their product - at any cost. Evidenced by the continual dissemination of information inappropriately from war or police situations without consideration for what the consequences would be. Our enemies are smiling ear to ear - all they have to do is turn on CNN and their intelligence officers job is done already - just inform the commanders and presto, instant victory thanks to the media.

Hell, some politician probably blabbed and cost more lives that the press ever did. If you order press out of an area for security reasons, and they stay, toss their ass in the slammer, no additional legislation needed. We already have plenty of laws dealing with the illegal dissemination of classified information, troop movements etc. all we need to do is enforce the laws we already have.
