Does the fact that the original source appears to be the FARS News Agency suggest anything? It should, FARS describes itself as the "Independent news agency" of Iran, but they are pretty much universally acknowledged to be an unofficial propaganda arm of the Iranian government. Some of their other stories included one reporting that an Iranian scientist had invented a time machine, and another claiming that the US security forces were being run by aliens inherited from Adolph Hitler.
