Barzani: Kuwait to open a consulate in Erbil is an important step towards the consolidation of relations
Rating This came during a meeting with Barzani Kuwaiti journalist delegation last night on a visit to Arbil to conduct interviews. For the the situation in the Kurdistan region of Iraq.

He Barzani looked forward to a larger contribution from the Kuwaiti side in investments in the Kurdistan region of Iraq.
He explained that the reconstruction of the province projects slowed down the pace because of the sudden appearance of the organization of the Islamic State (Daash) last year, pointing out that the region is going through the conditions of difficult material.
and between Barzani said the provincial government plan to take advantage of the oil wealth and attention to the agricultural and industrial side.
He said that the population of the region and is estimated at about four million people, it has seen an increase of 28 percent due to the continued Syrian refugees and displaced flow from inside Iraq and what form of heavy burdens on the Kurdistan Regional Government Iraq.
He said the Kurdistan region offers at the same assistance and services to a large number of refugees and displaced persons at a time "fighting a fierce war against terrorism on behalf of the world for the defense of human values, human rights and the various components in Iraq and the Kurdistan region."
He expressed the hope that " the international community fulfills its duties towards the Kurdistan region, especially that there are fears of increasing the number of refugees and displaced persons to the region of Kurdistan because of the fighting in Syria and in Iraq. "
He called on the Prime Minister of Iraqi Kurdistan also on Arab states to move in the direction of providing humanitarian aid, "following the example of Kuwait state that provided and still aid generous for displaced people in Iraq and Syria. "
The delegation met the Kuwaiti journalist and Minister of Planning in the Government of Iraq's Kurdistan region Ali Sindi in the Ministry of Planning building in order to identify future plans for the region in the field of development.
Al-Sindi said that the ministry's plan to finance the general budget through the allocation of funds for investments, giving priority necessary for projects. He pointed out that there is coordination with international organizations in the field of development and the study of the needs of displaced persons and refugees.
He stressed that the investment law provides plenty facilities for foreign investors, adding that there are efforts to change the law to suit the status quo. He met with the Kuwaiti journalist delegation as well as the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional former Dr. Barham Saleh, who welcomed the Kuwaiti journalist delegation wished to increase mutual visits between journalists and intellectuals from both sides.
On the situation in Iraq and the region touched the benefit to the beginnings of the emergence of the organization (Daash) and expand its control over the regions of Syria and Iraq attributing this to "lack of attention to the threat of terrorism."
He said that the stability of the region depends on the elimination of terrorism and dry up the sources of funding for the terrorist organization, through coordination and cooperation between all parties and the support of the international community.
