PHOENIX (KSAZ) -
Comedian Tommy Chong was in the valley Saturday, appearing at an event dedicated to promoting wellness through medical marijuana. 

The Arizona Cannabis for Wellness festival was held at the Encanto Green Cross dispensary in Phoenix near 27th Avenue and Encanto.

Chong, who is well known for his pot-themed "Cheech and Chong" comedy movies, introduced his brand of wellness marijuana.

"It makes you feel good.. that's what medicine's supposed to do.. medicine supposed to make you feel good," he said.  "Cannabis does it in such a way that it doesn't harm other parts of your body while you're doing it."

Some local chefs were also at the event to demonstrate how to cook with cannabis.

Hemp clothing and food products were also for sale.


I REALLY BELIEVE THAT MARYJANE SHOULD BE LEGAL FOR MEDICAL PURPOSES. HOWEVER THIS IS A HIGHLY DEBATABLE SUBJECT AND WAS CURIOUS WHAT OTHER ON THIS SITE THINK.
