The news commentary was that Obama has asked Abadi to unite his country, work with the Sunnis and tribal leaders. I think he made his point. Of course he knew Abadi was there. They have been in talks all day and Abadi had given his speech. political power play, especially since Parliament speaker was invited to the White House.
