Bruce Jenner's Vanity Fair Cover: 'Call Me Caitlyn'

Looking flawless in an ivory corset, Bruce reveals that her chosen name going forward will be Caitlyn.
In the heart-wrenching interview with Buzz Bissinger, Caitlyn admitted that the photoshoot has given her the chance to be who she is "as a person", away from Bruce's life in the limelight.

She added: "The last few days of doing this shoot was about my life and who I am as a person. It’s not about the fanfare, it’s not about people cheering in the stadium, it’s not about going down the street and everybody giving you ‘That a boy, Bruce’ pat on the back. Okay? This is about my life.
"Bruce always had to tell a lie. He was always living that lie. Every day he always had a secret, from morning ‘til night. Caitlyn doesn’t have any secrets. As soon as the Vanity Fair cover comes out, I’m free."
Caitlyn also took the time to set up her official Twitter account, tweeting for the first time as @Caitlyn_Jenner to say: "I'm so happy after such a long struggle to be living my true self. Welcome to the world Caitlyn. Can't wait for you to get to know her/me."
Her Wikipedia page has also been changed.
Speaking openly about her transition in a behind-the-scenes clip from the profile shoot, Caitlyn added: "If I was lying on my deathbed and I had kept this secret and never ever did anything about it, I would be lying there saying, ‘You just blew your entire life.’"
The 65-year-old Olympian revealed she was transgender in April, opening up in an emotional interview with Diane Sawyer.

Her stepdaughter, Kim Kardashian (who announced that she's pregnant today!), previously revealed that Caitlyn had found "inner peace" following her transition.
Admitting that Kim has been the most "accepting" of the change, Caitlyn also credited Kanye West for his support, with Kim revealing her husband had been a rock for her during the emotional time.
At the time, Kim revealed: "I'm really happy for him that he is living his life the way he wants to live it. And that he has found inner peace and just pure happiness. That's what life is about.
"I don't know what life would be like if you always felt like you weren't yourself. I know it's not something that you or I could really fully understand, but I don't even think we have to.
"As long as he is happy, and he wants to live his life, however he wants to live it, that just makes me happy. And I support him 100 percent."

Kim also revealed that the Kardashian-Jenners were trying to adjust the best they can to be respectful of Caitlyn, and that she's helping to make them feel "as comfortable as possible."
She added: "What do we call him? Do we say him or her? How do we be respectful? There's so many different things that you just want to be supportive and you just want to be respectful, and I think that everything takes time.
"I mean, Bruce wants us to feel as comfortable as possible and take everything at our own pace, and we love him for that, and we respect him for that.

"Until that transition is done, we've learned that you do refer to him as him. He's been really, really good at explaining everything to us, even though it's really new. These have been newer feelings - not newer feelings for him, but for us to digest. He's done a really good job of walking us through it."
She added that the Kardashian-Jenner Klan have been through "every emotion possible" during their family meetings, explaining: "Say what you want about us, but we work out everything as a family, we have the best communication and we are so in sync with each other.
"I love having so many siblings and such a supportive mom because each family member might be dealing with this in a different way but we have each other to go through this experience with, and I'm really grateful for that."

A source recently revealed that Caitlyn has been 'overwhelmed' by all the awesome messages of support she has received after she bravely told Diane Sawyer: "Yes, for all intents and purposes, I'm a woman. I have the soul of a female and my brain is much more female than it is male, as of now I have all the male parts."

Re: Bruce Jenner's Vanity Fair Cover: 'Call Me Caitlyn'
I applaud her for doing what makes her feel happy with herself. But if as with the rest of this family...would anyone really give a crap if they weren't famous?? Where's the outcry and support for the thousands of other men and women that are trapped in the wrong body...you don't see TV specials and magazine covers with pictures of them on it. I feel like with most of the things that this family does...this was just a big ol publicity stunt to keep them in the news for a few days more.

Re: Bruce Jenner's Vanity Fair Cover: 'Call Me Caitlyn'
My thoughts are:
1. I think she looks fabulous.
2. I don't think he gives a damn about his family or the fame and is doing this for himself. As a pretty much public figure I think he had no choice but to come out on what and who he would end up being. Otherwise he would have been hunted down making her life difficult...flaunt it!!!! I don't believe fame has been his thing for a very long time. I think after the Olympic days he pretty much struggled with "what life he was living".
3. I believe Bruce is coming out with all of this for all others that are in that place. That place of "I don't belong to the body I have". I don't have that feeling but I can't imagine what it must feel like to be a transgender..
I think she will do a lot for those that are suffering as Bruce has been.
The fact that he was and is famous makes it all more easy for the media to jump on it. I saw the Diane Sawyer interviews.
Work it Caitlyn...at 65 you look FAB!!!

DNA has nothing to do with it. Bruce is now Caitlyn in every sense of the word. Why do men have such a BIG problem with this? Is it because the almighty dick is gone?

As a guy I don't have a problem with what he did...I have a problem with the way it's been put all over the media.
If he wasn't part of that horrible family...lets be honest...this would have been a TMZ story at best. Before good ol Kimmy made that mediocre sex tape...we had all forgotten about Bruce Jenner...and probably would continue to do so. Now I agree that it doesn't matter...if she wants to be a she then more power to her. You should be happy in your own skin.

Ummm. I just happen to be a FEMALE & I do have a problem with people trying to be something they are not and never will be. DNA has a hell of a lot to do with it. Where do you think that DICK came from he wants (or has) cut off?????

I have to agree with SSmith. He/she still has one X and one Y chromosome, all the cosmetic changes in the world will not change that. Oh and by the way, that was what my wife said when the news first broke, verbatim.

ssmith, my apologizes. I didn't realize you were female. Your posts are very male. Might want to work on that.
As for your opinion and that of Kevin's I find you both not only overly judgmental and closed minded but there is a an "air" of hate for which I don't understand. Perhaps it is of people who are different from you or maybe you just both have a chip on your shoulder for some past occurrence that this brings up in you, but either way, you both have a hate in you that is not attractive.
ssmtih, perhaps you should seek help for hatred towards men.
Kevin, get over yourself. Does what Bruce did threaten your manhood in any way or are you just expressing the hatred you seem to show to pretty much on every damn thread or post on this forum?
I am done with both of you.!!!

Goldie I get where your coming from. But they are right...your genes make up what you are on a cellular level. But I think that who you are in your mind is what makes you who you are. It's just different ways of looking at the same thing. Really no need to be so angry about it...open discussion and differentiating opinions are what make the world go round.

No they are not right. Everyone in this world has to "RIGHT" to live the life they want. Who are you or them to judge what he/she is or should be or how they should live their lives?
There is no open discussion here. I don't have discussions with closed minded people.
I'm not angry, I am disgusted with the comments from these members.

GG, I think you confused what you call "male posts" with what are actually "logical posts".
I don't hate anyone. Just because I don't agree with someone does not mean I hate them.
As far as me hating men goes... I have no idea where you came up with that one.
And by the way, an "open discussion" is a discussion where different sides can be presented and discussed without anger, name calling and telling people that they are not right just because they disagree with you point of view.

Goldie you say you don't discuss with closed minded people...well say that you don't agree that having 1 X and 1 Y chromosome makes you a man. Well it does...genetically you are a man...and no amount of hormones or surgery will change that. Can't argue that FACT...saying you don't believe that is the definition of closed mindedness...it's proven that that specific set of chromosomes makes you male. But it's not ALL about genetics...that doesn't make you who you are as a person. That's made up by your personality and your soul. I get your points...but shunning people and saying they are closed minded solely because they disagree with your point of view is ridiculous.
Personally I think it's great that he is showing people in the same position that there is hope. But calling her a hero and brave...giving her the Arthur Ashe award for bravery. That's taking it too far...my neighbor lost 1 leg and 1 arm in Iraq...that's a hero. My cousin was shot twice in Iraq...that's a hero. There are thousands of wounded and disfigured service men and women, due to war. Where's their magazine cover? Where's their TV special? Where's their media coverage and awards? Is that what America has come to? Calling someone a hero...someone, who before his slutty step daughter made a rather mediocre sex tape with a mediocre rapper was completely forgotten about...is ridiculous. Had he not been part of that horrible family...this would have been at best a blurb on TMZ. Yes they are brave for making a huge life altering decision...but not a hero. Not even close....and it's an insult to everyone who deserves the title...

TRANS PHOBIC
A member on my site brings up a good point that they think that "men" are being "feminized' chemically.
One of my very best friends, that is a 60 year old gay male, agrees. He also thinks that somehow men are being changed. In his world he sees this in a different perspective than us straight folks as he is in the bars and bath houses.
I think Mr. Jenner has the "right" to cut off whatever parts he wants to if that is what he wishes to do. Is he/she a hero? He was prescribed female hormones decades ago according to what he said in his interview. I would like to know why? At that time he did not plan on becoming a woman and did not even consider himself gay. So why the female hormones to begin with???
The new cage movement screams about the rise of the Divine Feminine. Could it be that this is it?
Now Sissy That Walk!

I think it's funny that I thought you were a man. Apparently I'm not the only one. It has nothing to do with logical posts. I don't find your posts all that logical. I find you hard and bitter and I guess that's why assumed you are a male. Even on topics that have to do with cooking, herbs or any other non dinar topics you tend come across very hard and bitter. Guess you must have had a hard life. in some way.
As for writing the DA, Judge or anyone else about Tony, you have no business using the word SHOULD....you don't tell anyone what they SHOULD be doing. If you have a bone to pick with Tony then you write whomever you damn well please but don't drag us into your fight with the US system of justice.
As for what I say about Adam, I don't try to entice you or anyone else to stir up trouble or write your congressmen or DA. I post the bullshit that he posts and I expose the schemes that he has to illegally send Dinar to Belize. I do that because I know there are DV members that read this forum and they don't know what he is doing behind the scenes and I've been asked if VIP is worth it.
I don't and never have asked YOU to do anything, yet you repeatedly told me in that other thread what I SHOULD be doing. You don't tell me what I need to should be doing regarding Tony and if he gets a year or more that's certainly not up to me or YOU. It's up to the judge to decide based on the DA's suggestion. Loose the edge because this seems to have hardened any female emotions you might have left in your body.
As for chromosomes that has nothing to do with any of this. It was about his change and so what if his chromosomes are of male. Does that mean he has to live a life of a male? Who are you to decide how he should live his life? ARE YOU NOW GOD??? What about those people who are born with both chromosomes making them both male and female. What shall we do with them? Put them down like a sick dog?
I find the forum too judgmental for my taste anymore. I find the hate and anger has spilled into every post. However you find me, I don't give a damn. I am peaceful in my heart and don 't have the judgmental anger going on you have towards pretty much everything that is posted on this forum whether it's legalizing marijuana or healthy herbs or recipes.
I think I will go waste my life doing something else, like watching paint dry.
Good day.

Looks like ole GoldieGirl is herself a man hater! After reading her post, you can see she is very judgemental after claiming the forum is too judgmental for her taste. So often people accuse others of what they themselves are actually guilty of. GG provides an example of such.
I hope she doesn't leave. This is as much fun as bashing Tony!

There we go again w/the name calling. Sorry, but wrong again. I like men. Especially athletic men.....Just as long as they aren't wearing dresses and makeup.
Keep in mind that this is only a suggestion; I'm not telling you what you should do, but only suggest that perhaps you might want to consider seeing someone about your anger issues (not at all saying you have any) or maybe change your hormones. Again....just a friendly suggestion.

They have names for women like you. It starts with a C.
You are the bitch that said you wanted to bash me. Why is that? Because I posted questions that you refuse to answer? No need for hormones you're the B**CH...I look and feel just fine. Pretty much like my avatar in fact.
You are the one that has a big hard on for Tony. You keep posting their crap from their site every day and sometimes 4 or 5 times a day. I think you are the one with anger issues. Too bad you, your family and friends all lost money from listening to Tony but hey...live and learn and get over yourself. Your bitterness will age you quicker, but then again from the bitterness you display to pretty much ANY kind of post whether it be cooking for something else, I imagine you are most like already aging and unattractive.
I'm done with you and this thread. I always thought you were male and I thought you were just a mean old nasty bastard. Finding out you're female is quite a surprise and now I really don't have to have anything more to do with you. Good luck in your fight with Tony and if you lost a lot of money, well then you deserve it. You deserve everything you get because the crap you spew day in and day out is just creating a dark, ugly festering mess inside you and it's all over this forum.

Butting in just real quick, phoney tony needs to get put everywhere for the same reason you do "buzzy" People need to know who to avoid, period. The less people that get suked into their schemes the better, and I also send paperwork to several people about tony for the simple fact I don't want him to get a lite sentence when he continues doing the same crap that he is in trouble for. I see it to much on his site to sit back and let people that don't know, handle it.

Re: Bruce Jenner's Vanity Fair Cover: 'Call Me Caitlyn'
Goldie I can see you being upset with someone about having a different opinion than you. But bringing up someone's friends and family and firing up the C word...that's just fucked up. You say SSmith has a beef with Tony...I would say its no worse than the beef you have with Adam Montana. You post about him repeatedly...you bring him up in posts that have nothing to do with him.
You disagreed with my statements...ok your allowed to have an opinion...but you seem to have only read part of what I said. Again...I never said that your genes define what is in the persons soul...but genetically it does define them. What you have hanging or not hanging between your legs doesn't make you the person you are.
I really think you need to get the hell over yourself and act like a mature adult. Not anyone is going to agree with you...but name calling and posting dumb pictures and saying "i bet your already aging and unattractive" really shows the level of your maturity...and frankly its pretty sad that it came to that.
If you feel like there is too much hatred on this site...then leave. No one is making you stay here. Is there any reason we shouldn't hate on scum bags like Tony, Okie, Adam Montana etc?? Hell no there isn't. If Tony was on fire in front of me I wouldn't piss on him to put the fire out...he is a con artist down to his core. He went to jail previously for his crimes...and then he comes out and starts doing it again...the man is sick in the head. I've read enough case studies to know that Tony gets a sick pleasure from doing what he is doing...if he didn't he would have stopped after he was caught the first time. But he doesn't...he consistently makes up obvious lies and stories. He preys upon the ignorance and gullibility of his followers and down talks them when he needs a few extra bucks in his pocket. And frankly I think that he deserves every ounce of hate we can muster until that asshole is rotting in jail. And your damn right I took Chillimama's IRS stuff and sent a copy to the judge and to the IRS. The son of a bitch deserves everything he has coming to him...

I've read your posts. I don't take advice from someone that has very little to add.
