If a Terbo56 is like a Lopster,
you want it alive when you drop
it in the cooking vessel.
That's the proper way to fry something...

I'm not very good with dinners, but I can make
a mean breakfast and killer desserts. Love working
with chocolate.
If this roller coaster ever comes to a stop,
and we all get together for an after-party,
I'll make my tuxedo strawberries. And these
are no ordinary T.S.'s. White chocolate "shirt",
milk chocolate "jacket", dark chocolate "buttons"
on the "shirt", and injected with a variety of
liquors, spilling out of a bag made of chocolate...

I will admit I've messed up plenty of times, but as I go along in life I try to refine what I do and what I have learned- When I was 16, one of my great aunts taught me alot about cooking, baking, poaching poultry, and searing-I can also do canning- I do very well, although, yes, I DO have my days-

Oh no.
Please.
Not my chair...
On a serious note, I didn't mean
to ruffle your feathers about the
drinking. If you're at two years sober,
congratulations. Been to a few meetings
myself, with a friend, as her support.

For the record I am frequently the cook in our house. Last night I whipped up some Egg Plant Parm on request. I have a Sirloin Tip Roast on deck for tonight. Just finished the Turkey Breast I brined up and roasted on Tuesday.

As my Dad used to say when asked what his favorite pie was ... "What'cha got?" Seriously, I would have to say fresh peach would be my favorite.

As for the non-fruit category,
it's a tie between a Boston Cream
and Banana Cream...

Mrparrot, banana IS a fruit, and so is a tomato, because it contains citric acid- Where did you go to school, anyway?mrparrot wrote:Kevind53 wrote:As my Dad used to say when asked what his favorite pie was ... "What'cha got?" Seriously, I would have to say fresh peach would be my favorite.

only the fruit, like an apple pie, or a cherry pie,
or a peach pie.
Non-fruit pies are pies that contain ingredients
other than just the fruit, such as the cream in
the banana cream pie, or a coconut cream pie.
As for my education, I did not attend a school.
Being as old as I am, there was no reason for me
to go to school as there was nothing to learn.
Numbers and letters had not yet been invented.
There was no history to learn because nothing had
been done yet.
In fact, I was mentioned in the first draft of the Bible,
but was later edited out, due to the very minor role
I played.
The final draft of the Bible contains,
...and God said, "Let there be light.",
The original draft was,
...and God said, "Hey Rodney, watch this..."...

Re: Back Later on-
He must be related to Moses- Apparently hauled a lot of manure in his ox cart-... I knew of a man that did nothing but haul junk to the junkyard when he was of age, he worked for a scrapper in Portland Maine, and some of the things he said and did made me wonder if he ever went to school at all- I eventually asked him if he ever attended school, and he said, 'Yes, I did, spent 12 years just like everyone else, and graduated, too- I said 'really? And he said 'yes, I did, I graduated from the sixth grade twice'....
