Single Malt Whiskey vs Cancer

In 2005, Dr. Jim Swan, speaking at the EuroMedLab conference in Glasgow, said, “Research has shown that there are even greater health benefits to people who drink single-malt whiskies. Why? Single-malt whiskies have more ellagic acid than red wine.”




That ellagic acid, also found in most fruits, is an antioxidant that may absorb rogue cancer cells in the body.

British chemist and scientific consultant for the whiskey industry Dr. James Swan claims that Single Malt Scotch Whisky is also good for health, such as the consumption of red wine, which is drunk in a certain amount has to protect against osteoporosis.

And a minimum of 80% of the population of Scotland, Ireland and Britain agree with that statement, because of the quality of cask whiskey, have been tested and confirmed by generations of those people in the past 400-500 years.

With regards to cancer, the islanders have an old sea treatment, whom at the time Winston Churchill took advantage of.

The treatment is based on the application of this single malt scotch whiskey with a mandatory being next to the sea water. And not just the water, but only in the open sea on a ship.

Currently, doctors recommend to consume single malt scotch whiskey Laphroaig, since it has a high content of salt and iodine for the activity of the thyroid gland, which is necessary for people who suffer from impaired thyroid.

Hmmm Ok but what about your liver after all that whiskey?

This is what is known as a "conflict of interest" and he is not a medical doctor. You should always be wary when medical claims are made by a "Dr." who turns out not to be a medical doctor.  People are quick to accuse people who defend conventional medicine as being in the pocket of "big pharma". This man could be accused of being in the pocket of the alcohol industry.

Excellent follow up Piece to the topic Turkey Lurkey!  The fact that he is in bed with the whiskey company is  interesting indeed ! 

And for me, anyone promoting alcohol as an alternative medication is just poor judgement and irresponsible.

Yep, nummer than a crotch full of novacaine, we'd be!!

The next time you have a cold, a sore or strep throat, put the apricot brandy to you- One shot every four hours, and within a week, you'll be back up kickin' ass in no time!!! Just make sure you are in bed, all covered up as to sweat the daylights out of you, and you be fine!!

I should add that I adore malt whisky!

One fave is Ardbeg, and another is Laphroaig - both are Islay whiskies.

Though I'm currently on the wagon completely.
