Gold will be the new money maker for iraq. They are finding huge deposits and companies are bidding for rights to this.

If you remember about 6 months ago i stated that many articles said bagdad and kursdistan had huge deposits of gold. well one of your experts claimed he did not find any evidence that they had gold.

Well Kevin, I guess your research was not quite good enough was it. Btw I recently bought a stock that is owed by a chinese company who has obtained rights for certain areas of Bagdad to get the gold out of the ground.

Boy, I am glad I do my own research.

Well we will have to agree to disagree, I still have seen absolutely nothing to indicate the discovery of gold deposits, let alone sizable gold deposits in Iraq. If you have articles bring them over.

6 months ago i had ponee brig them over for me and you said the same thing and presently articles are comming out .and i recently purchased stock in a chinese company i will leave nameless that did the samething in columbia and chile and now they will been starting mining in bagdad in jan or feb so at this point it really does not matterif it becomes like cloumbia like the chinese claim i do not have to hope an rv will happen

Well, you would think that a big deal like that would be in the news somewhere ... I actually do not remember any actual articles, at least not from any sort of legitimate outlet ... sorry. There were some claims (and on occasion still dredged up by one guru or another,) back at least five or six years ago, but again, I never found any validation. According to all of the mining and geologic info I have found, both from the USGS and from the equivalent Iraqi agency (don't remember it's actual title off the top of my head,) indicate no commercial deposits of gold.

Would I love to be proven wrong? Hell yes, but I am not about to hold my breath on this one.

kevin thats fine because it really does not matter as long as this company does what it did in columbia and chile in iraq i will laugh all the way to the bank and with there track record i will bet the house on it. end of discussion because you will never admit it anyway

There is zero evidence that Iraq has large, easily accessible, and very profitable gold mines near Baghdad.

It seems like you're not only counting your chickens before they're hatched, you're bragging about your chickens before you've even seen any evidence of an egg.

FYI, it's Colombia. Not Columbia.

I don't think there is much gold mining going on anywhere. It just isn't profitable with prices as low as they are.

Plus the additional security costs to protect a mine of any significant size would be astronomical with Isis in your backyard. Although I have read many different articles about there being huge veins of gold throughout Iraq...whether they are true or not...who knows.

I've also look for news of gold in Iraq. Seems there was one that stated there was some small deposits. Of course I can't find it now. Oh knows? Maybe it was a dream. In most cases, small deposits aren't worth going after. Especially at today's prices.

I have seen the articles as well, but none of the ones I saw were verifiable, and every survey of mineral resources in Iraq I have ever seen have contradicted them.
