Central Bank to release new 5,000 and 25,000 Iraqi Dinar banknotes

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) On Wednesday the Iraqi Central Bank announced new banknote denominations of 5,000 and 25,000 Iraqi Dinars to be released in the markets soon, noting that those papers will bear all the technical and security features that are present on smaller denomination notes in addition to new features.
The bank said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com that “new banknote denomination of 5000 and 25,000 Iraqi Dinars will be released into the market soon for trade with specifications and new high security protection codes, in addition to the existing security tags in the categories of the current series.”

So this raised a question on trade if they are going to the trouble to make a new currency could there some workings in the back office ?? or a known time line to an RV that people are looking forward to, With all rumors there is truth to it 




I am talking to my Arabic contact that is translating a site for me that the CBI has the zeros omitted ready to go ... there is traffic on it and I will share when I get it

news on the omitting zeros ... CBI is set and ready to go but do to security reasons and political it was delayed this week .. In June ISIS stole 7 billion Dinar from a government bank .. that may had something to do with it as well

Yes, they have been talking about releasing them "soon" for a while now. It's been my observation that soon in the Middle East has a rather elastic meaning. There has also been talk about omitting, removing, dropping the zeros for several years. The questions are; "When?" and "What exactly does it mean?" LOP or simply moving the decimal point to the right? Many claim it means one or the other, but the ambiguity of the statements is such that no one can be sure.

yes i have not been able to get a definition on the omitting a few zeros either ... meaning value to the exchange or zeros off the note ... <--- that does not sound good either lol
