We still have the old Ranking Levels that were associated with OKIE and his airplane theme of the site from 3 years ago. I am looking for suggestions for rankings. The amount of posts need per level can be changed also.

Re: Help the site get better RANKING NAMES for Members
I think you could increase the number of posts for Elite and Mileage Junkie from 300 posts for mileage junkie and elite to maybe 500 posts. My two cents.

Will give it some thought ... not a bad idea though, we did have a person take affront and leave because their ranking changed to mileage junky a while back. On the other hand, I do suspect it was just an excuse.

Re: Help the site get better RANKING NAMES for Members
Thanks Ponee for the New Ranking - I hope it does spruce the place up and help with member morale etc . Little things like that can go a long ways in cheering people up showing them they are valued , appreciated etc -- Of course some people could not care so much -
The thought and intent from your suggestions shows me that you do care and want to improve in areas that you can - doing what is for the good of all -- I think I see where you are coming from and wanting to go !!you have my vote !!

Yea it was the week you were out of touch. She was already offended that no one was agree ing with her opinions, and when the ranking ticked over, she blew up and deleted her account. Nothing I could do, so I just shrugged it off. Forgot about it till just now.

Re: Help the site get better RANKING NAMES for Members
Oh, Well, I am sorry to hear she was upset over something so well... oh never mind.
There were so many other things to attend to when I acquired the site, I hadn't given the rankings much thought. But lately, they are starting to annoy me.
So, I am still looking for Ranking names. Any ideas people?

FountainPure? I didn't check, but seems that was the name of the one that left. Hope I'm not way off base. She took offense to "milage junkie". I understand "junkie" does have a negative connotation, but think she overreacted. I liked her & am sorry she's gone.

Saint, I don't have the new names yet... I am still looking for peoples ideas. They are still the same. Except for the ones that I have been personally promoting to VIP MEMBERS because they are always here participating and being a true part of the Forum.

AAhhh, Ok. So that was who left. I am also sorry that she/he is gone, I didn't realize she/he was upset. I also enjoyed FP participation on the boards. Their interaction will be missed. If they had waited, I would actually have changed theirs to VIP also, because they regularly particpated. :(

Yea, I suggested that Ponee, and explained that it was nothing personal, just a system thing due to the number of her posts. But she went ahead and deleted her account anyway.

The old school was good for a time{a short time} but I don't think I'd want to look back- Alot of shit happened, and some of it was not nice at all-

Wait.
You guys actually used the names
I suggested, years ago?
I had no idea.
When I said, "old school", I was
referring to the actual names being
from medieval times.
Didn't mean to stir up any
bad feelings or open any old
wounds.
I'll go sit in the time-out chair now...

It seems that I have not been allocated
any storage space, so I am unable to attach
the pic of my time-out chair.
However, as a computer weinee, there's
a workaround for almost everything...
I present to you...my time-out chair...

Re: Help the site get better RANKING NAMES for Members
Mrparrot, I meant the way things were back when we joined the site, we never used the names or designations you mentioned, although it could be brought in with a few modifications, IF Ponee agrees- When someone speaks of 'old school',I think back when I started working at a garage in Maine when I was 15, and the old school techniques and tools that were used to repair cars and trucks- I got out of the 'Technical' aspect of mechanics and technical, computerized repairs about 2 years ago, and with all the new computronics there are now, anyone would need 30-40 thousand dollars worth of equipment to deal in the new cars and trucks, and I had decided that enough was enough- It's pretty bad when you have to buy tools that eat your paycheck up in 7-10 years just to pay for all that stuff- I'm pushing 59 now, and it is something I no longer want to continue- I work at a welding shop, now, fabricating different projects, and welding-

Yes, there's an extra G in there.
It should have been in there from the start...

Sunflower seeds?
Really?
No thanks.
The fat content is off the charts
with those things.
I'd be happy with a chicken bone.
Leg.
With a little meat still left on it...
