BAGHDAD / NINA / The political body of the Iraqi National Alliance, headed by Ibrahim al-Jaafari, discussed at its meeting last night, in the presence of Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, and representatives of the all its parties, developments in the political and security situation in the country.

A statement by Jaafari's office said, "the meeting reviewed the results of the Iraqi delegation's participation in the conferences of Jeddah, Paris, and the General Assembly of the United Nations in New York, as well as side events conducted by the President of the Republic, Ministers, and Minister of Foreign Affairs."

The statement added that "the conferees discussed the latest developments in the political and security situation in the country, and the need to complete the lineup of the government, especially the security ministries; as Iraq is currently facing challenges threatening its security and sovereignty" ./ End
