Adam Montana says, "we will not see a fully formed and seated GOI for about 3 more weeks."
Adam Montana ...Abadi has some time remaining to complete his new Iraqi government. The Kurdish members of Parliament had walked out and refused to participate in any government actions last month under Maliki, but...Kurdish leaders are returning to Baghdad to negotiate and take part in forming the new GOI. While some have insisted the government would be formed quickly (like last week!), I don't see that happening - I believe Abadi and the rest of the parties involved will take the full time allowed, so we will not see a fully formed and seated GOI for about 3 more weeks. Kurdistan continues to show strength and resolve - with the help of outside forces, they have at least partially reclaimed the Mosul Dam from the terrorists and IS looks to be getting desperate.
On the financial and political end of the spectrum for Kurdistan, the KRG has successfully exported and sold a total of 7 million barrels of oil so far, with the proceeds sitting firmly in Kurdish banks and nothing going to Baghdad. They currently have 2 tankers sitting off the coast of Texas awaiting a decision by US Courts to allow US companies to purchase this oil... the Government of Iraq has petitioned to block this, but it's looking like the KRG will win. When that happens, LOOK OUT! Kurdistan is currently producing 300,000 barrels per day and they are projected to go higher. With their pipeline to Turkey making it completely possible to export and their list of buyers for the oil they can produce, it's going to put a LOT of pressure on Abadi to push the HCL through and get the country working together... all good for Iraq and also for the value of the Dinar!

I would not be a bit surprised to see this go into Sept. before the GOI is finished. If they actually get it done by Monday I think it will be bordering on a miracle.

Even if Abadi presents his choices on Monday, that does not mean the government is seated. They still have to be approved by Parliament and then sworn in before it's official.

i do not want to sound like a downer but think about this. m has not left yet and he really has no intentions of leaving. with that said have you noticed what has been going on twice the new pm elect they have tried to kill him the bombing of mosques have increased with innocent people dying and last but not least m has been paying off politicians to stall and cause havoc so abadi cannot finish on time so m can slip in thru the back door. do not expect on mon the announcement of a newly formed gov because they are still arguring and this all leads to m return . i truly hope for all abadi gets it done and we once and for all get rid of m and remember he is a snake in the grass. have a good day ayall
