Hey, we don't have any flowers here, yet, unless you count the plastic ones.

Re: Who's Ready For Spring?
I buy silk ones from the dollar store and put them out in the fall/winter so they pop up in the spring after the snow melts. I know, I am strange.
So what happens this year. I have a NEW pup. A little spitzen that wants to chew everything. He has been chewing them and running around with them in his mouth all winter when a bit of snow uncovers them. So the first nice spring day we got where the ground is not frozen I pulled them all up. No more flowers.
Bad puppy....mommy has no flowers.
We do have lots of mushy greenish brown stuff out there that I believe is eventually going to become grass.

We still have mostly mushy white stuff ... although the brown is breaking through finally ... except in the woods, lots of the white crap out there still ... lots ...

Wow and people think Canadians live with all the ice and snow in igloos with husky dogs and wear parkas...

Re: Who's Ready For Spring?
New England had a pretty rough winter this year, and March was one of the coldest on record here, the ski areas are still mostly open and expect to be open through Easter. Killington mountain which is just about a 20 minute drive up the hill from here had over 198 inches (call it 5 meters) of snow this year, not counting what they made, and still has 42 miles (108) trails open.

GG, You mean those are just stories we hear about. Hmmmmmm. Here in Colorado we have had a very nice winter and all the ski resorts are enjoying the abundance of snow. Hopefully no water restrictions this summer . This will ensure we have beautiful flowers and green luscious grass.

Re: Who's Ready For Spring?
GG, that's a neat idea with the plastic flowers, need to remember that . Here in Iowa spring is slowly pushing this long hard winter back . Farmers are just getting started to plant the crops , I'm normally a fall guy, but this year, spring I so look forward to planting some new perennials, Allyrose has me planting some rose's, lol. Saint, my guys have done some work around Greeley Co. this last winter and loved the break from working in the mid-west and nasty winter. Kevin , you guys have been hit really hard, I feel for ya buddy. Chin up every one , Spring is finally here ;-)

Re: Who's Ready For Spring?
Yep ... warm weather for the next few days ... now flood warnings due to the massive melt off and predicted heavy rains on Tuesday...
