Waiting In The Absence

Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward.For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

(Heb 10:35-36) KJV

One of the greatest failures of our present age is the inability to “hang in there” until it comes. We are experiencing the development in our societies of an instant gratification meltdown.We’re finding out that the lack of persistence is producing a confused generation. We want it instantly or we retreat. We do this over and over again until we are totally confused. At that point, we have no direction. We are seeing the results of such a breakdown. Unfortunately, whenever we hit “bumps in the road” we try to change the rules. This is how we get of the “will of God train.”

We meltdown and lose our willingness to fight for it, to hold on to the “last thread” if need be.
Some of this countries greats proved this point well…(“The great American poet Carl Sandburg flunked English. The great inventor Thomas Edison did not do well in school either. His teachers thought he was stupid. Einstein could not speak until he was four and did not read until he was seven.

Beethoven's music teacher said, "As a composer he's hopeless." F. W. Woolworth couldn't get a job. Merchants said he didn't have enough sense to wait on customers. Walt Disney was fired by a newspaper editor who said Disney didn't have any good ideas. Caruso was told by a voice coach, "You can't sing. You have no voice at all." An editor told Louisa May Alcott she was not capable of writing anything that would appeal to a popular audience. They were all wrong.” -- Robert C. Shannon, 1000 Windows)

These all, believed in their paths in spite of the negative opinions of those around them. The will of God is not necessarily the opinion of everybody around us. However, God said that if we would persevere through the challenging negativism around us, we would “receive the promise”.

Don’t let those around you or YOU yourself, become a stumbling-block. Hold fast to the will of God without compromise… walk through it, to receiving the reward!!!
