AlleyRose he is a little 16 hands and weighs about 1300 lbs.  I love a big horse, but I am only 5'2", and the older I get the shorter I like my horse, but I am in love with him.  My main horse I ride is 15.2 hands. My husband is 6'6", so he would make him a really good horse.  I just love his markings.

Haha palmer01, if the economy gets as bad as they say it is, which it seems it is almost there, I might just have to ride my horses to town!  I haven't figured out how much per bale yet, but when we trail ride, none have a problem riding for about 6 hours out on the trails in the woods. Well, they do grab a little grass or switch cane along the way. Guess I need to get me a wagon for them to pull!!!!

I do spend a lot on food for them!  We feed them once a day, and spend about 60.00 per week on feed, and keep a big round bale of hay for them, which we get 1 per week, at $40.00 per bale.  So just on food right now with 6 horses and they are all fat and healthy, that's not too bad!  I love my horses, they are all like big dogs! Very loveable big animals, each with their own personality!

Wow he's a big boy then Horizon! The boy we have left is about 15.2 and we are really partial to paints. We bought a paint filly last year and man she was beautiful, black with a white blacks and 4 white socks and a small patch of white on her back. She got bitten by a bloody snake and died!

We had 5 horses in full feed a few years back now, it was costing us $300 per week to feed them, luckily back then we both had really good jobs lol! Now we only have 1 boy left and he costs probs only $20 a week. They are definately called hay burners for a reason lol but we wouldn't be without the boy we have left!

AlleyRose I do love my horses, and paints are really interesting, because of their markings.  Right now that is all I have, even though 2 are solid they are Registered Paints.
Yes, I will have horses even when I am too old to ride!  I just love them.
