Yep. Tired of being lied to. I scroll past all the news articles, intel, take a second look at analyses, and scroll some more.

Someday somebody will be right, but for right now, I'm skeptical.

Sorry, folks. I don't need to be negative. Gurus and such are not the reason I got in and they won't be a reason to get out.

onemore, in case you don't know, we got tired of guru lies and that is why we have this site. This was the original OOM site! You know Okies site! Can you believe Bulldog, the Guru, was banned from here, before it turned to No More OMM, and the owner took the big step, No More Guru post! We decided a while back we would post some the Guru things just to talk about what they are saying.
Believe me, we Mods that were here before it changed, had to Ban people that talked about those poor Gurus....huh we began to hate to ban them, because the people felt the same way we were feeling! Lies, lies, and more lies and hype!!!!
There is a few members here today that were banned many times from the OOM site, that would come back with a new name and get banned again!!!! Just for telling it like it was! Hype, & Lies!!!

SO FEEL FREE TO TALK ABOUT THE GURUS HERE!!!!! WE DO!!!!!
Just keep it with kinda nice words!!!!

Unfortunately, That is true Onemore. That is one thing that I have always said. Just because it is in the articles, doesn't mean it is legit. Those articles are often times Opinion Pieces that look like REAL NEWS. They also come from publications that are more like our National Inqiurer.

And then many of them are reprinted over and over and over in their own publications, just changing the dates. I am always disheartened when I see a great article that makes it look like we are on the brink of RVing and GOOGLE it and can find where it was actually published 2 or 3 years ago.

So a friend called today. Her dad's friend has a source (!?) and said that Christine Legarde (sp?) was in Iraq and threatened to RV at a rate they would not like if they didn't go ahead and do it now.

I'm wondering who has these kind of sources and who leaks that kind of thing and who thinks that this is an actual, legitimate solution and who is going to make sure it happens and why.

Please help me understand what these so-called 'gurus' have to gain from this activity? Is there some direct monetary gain? Fees charged to their 'followers'? I have a relative who has bought into this idea of an imminent RV that will make her fabulously wealthy. She is very excited about the prospect of an 'RV' on Thanksgiving night (according to Loechin). To me, this is such an obvious scam, but I fail to see the up-side for these guys (other than notoriety). Maybe that is all they want. How do they profit from these elaborate and ridiculous claims? Please enlighten me. Thanks!

I suspect for some it is simply a pride thing, they are hooked on the praise and adulation of their fans. Others I suspect, have more sinister reasons. It has yet to be proven, but many suspect that more than a few of them do indeed get kickbacks from some of the less scrupulous dealers. Some may actually be dealers themselves under a false identity. Some do indeed get a direct monetary gain from fees charged their membership. To my knowledge, none of this has been proven ... yet. However rumor has it that several of the gurus are under active grand jury investigation, so in time, we may know more.

while that is true kevin it is very hard to convict someone making up lies no matter how cruel it you have to prove they profitted from the lies that is the law

kevin at the present time in a state i cannot name since my sisterinlaw is the attorney general cannot be named is running into sertain people are lieing but they cannot prove they gained fiancially from it. i can say the three have gone under various names sorry i cannot say more

That is the law on the criminal side, but on the civil side someone who puts themselves out there as an expert and leads people into doing things they otherwise might not do, can be held responsible.

And for those who charge for their info, as some do with membership sites, it is even stronger civilly and might possibly make a criminal case. And since it is apparent that they all share information, there might be a possibility of a Rico case.
