Recaps and the Garbage Dump - I liken Recaps to a garbage dump. At a garbage dump, garbage comes in from all directions. It is gathered from different neighborhoods and then delivered to the dump where it is spread evenly.
 
What if, in one of the trucks, there was a plastic gallon jug that contains a very toxic material. Let’s call this material “Intel”, “date and rate” or “lies”, take your pick. This garbage dump is a "positive" type of a dump. Therefore, anyone that sees this toxic material is not allowed to mention it. Comments are restricted to only how wonderful garbage is. The bulldozer that is spreading the garbage out  all evenly and nicely, approaches the pile, nears the toxic material and as the dozer track lines up with the plastic jug. Several people yell out --- “Stop or you will hit the jug”. These words are not allowed…  Another person yells out "Garbage is wonderful" “Oh thank you for this garbage”.... The manager of the dump hears these “positive?” statements and rushes over with a mic and PA system so that even more people will be able to hear the "Garbage is wonderful” comments.
 

The ”spread it, no matter how crazy it is”   business plan at this dump is flawed.
