Baghdad (news) .. He attributed the financial expert Ibrahim al-Mashhadani, the reasons for the low exchange rate of the Iraqi dinar against the U.S. dollar during the last period to the security and political situation is stable in the country.

Mashhadani said (of the Agency news): The political and security problems that hit the country during this period affected the overall economic conditions, including the exchange rate of the Iraqi dinar against the U.S. dollar, because it encouraged the smuggling of hard currency.

He added: that the central bank demands to take deterrent measures against those who are manipulating the exchange rate and issued new regulations for banks and banking companies regarding the sale of hard currency, so as to maintain the value of the Iraqi dinar and work on stability.

This saw the Iraqi dinar exchange rate dropped significantly against the U.S. dollar during the past weeks. / End / 8.'s. M /
