YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW 16448_10200713174460285_806204074_n YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW PAY IT FORWARD

Good morning said a woman as she walked up to the man
sitting on ground.

The man slowly looked up.

This was a woman clearly accustomed to the finer things of
life. Her coat was new.. She looked like she had never missed a meal in her
life.

His first thought was that she wanted to make fun of him,
like so many others had done before.. "Leave me alone," he
growled....

To his amazement, the woman continued standing. She was
smiling -- her even white teeth displayed in dazzling rows. "Are you
hungry?" she asked.

"No," he answered sarcastically. "I've just come
from dining with the president. Now go away."

The woman's smile became even broader. Suddenly the man felt
a gentle hand under his arm. "What are you doing, lady?" the man
asked angrily. "I said to leave me alone.

Just then a policeman came up. "Is there any problem,
ma'am?" he asked.."No problem here, officer," the woman
answered. "I'm just trying to get this man to his feet. Will you help
me?"

The officer scratched his head. "That's old Jack. He's
been a fixture around here for a couple of years. What do you want with
him?" "See that cafeteria
over there?" she asked. "I'm going to get him something to eat and
get him out of the cold for awhile."

"Are you crazy, lady?" the homeless man resisted.
"I don't want to go in there!" Then he felt strong hands grab his
other arm and lift him up. "Let me go, officer. I didn't do
anything." "This is a good deal for you, Jack" the officer
answered. "Don't blow it.."

Finally, and with some difficulty, the woman and the police
officer got Jack into the cafeteria and sat him at a table in a remote corner.
It was the middle of the morning, so most of the breakfast crowd had already
left and the lunch bunch had not yet arrived...

The manager strode across the cafeteria and stood by his
table. "What's going on here, officer?" he asked. "What is all
this, is this man in trouble?"

"This lady brought this man in here to be fed,"
the policeman answered. "Not in here!" the manager replied angrily.
"Having a person like that here is bad for business.."

Old Jack smiled a toothless grin. "See, lady. I told
you so. Now if you'll let me go. I didn't want to come here in the first
place."

The woman turned to the cafeteria manager and smiled.......
"Sir, are you familiar with Eddy and Associates, the banking firm down the
street?" "Of course I am," the manager answered impatiently.
"They hold their weekly meetings in one of my banquet rooms."

"And do you make a godly amount of money providing food
at these weekly meetings?" "What business is that of
yours?" I, sir, am Penelope Eddy,
president and CEO of the company." "Oh."

The woman smiled again. "I thought that might make a
difference." She glanced at the cop who was busy stifling a giggle.
"Would you like to join us in a cup of coffee and a meal, officer?"

"No thanks, ma'am," the officer replied. "I'm
on duty." "Then, perhaps, a cup of coffee to go?" "Yes, maam.
That would be very nice." The cafeteria manager turned on his heel,
"I'll get your coffee for you right away, officer." The officer
watched him walk away. "You certainly put him in his place," he said.
"That was not my intent. Believe it or not, I have a reason for all
this."

She sat down at the table across from her amazed dinner
guest. She stared at him intently.. "Jack, do you remember me?" Old Jack searched her face with his old,
rheumy eyes. "I think so -- I mean you do look familiar."

"I'm a little older perhaps," she said.
"Maybe I've even filled out more than in my younger days when you worked
here, and I came through that very door, cold and hungry."

"Ma'am?" the officer said questioningly. He
couldn't believe that such a magnificently turned out woman could ever have
been hungry.

"I was just out of college," the woman began.
"I had come to the city looking for a job, but I couldn't find anything.
Finally I was down to my last few cents and had been kicked out of my
apartment. I walked the streets for days. It was February and I was cold and
nearly starving. I saw this place and walked in on the off chance that I could
get something to eat."

Jack lit up with a smile. "Now I remember," he
said.. "I was behind the serving counter. You came up and asked me if you
could work for something to eat. I said that it was against company
policy."

"I know," the woman continued. "Then you made
me the biggest roast beef sandwich that I had ever seen, gave me a cup of
coffee, and told me to go over to a corner table and enjoy it. I was afraid
that you would get into trouble... Then, when I looked over and saw you put the
price of my food in the cash register, I knew then that everything would be all
right."

"So you started your own business?" Old Jack said.
"I got a job that very afternoon. I worked my way up. Eventually I started
my own business that, with the help of God, prospered." She opened her
purse and pulled out a business card.. "When you are finished here, I want
you to pay a visit to a Mr. Lyons...He's the personnel director of my company. I'll
go talk to him now and I'm certain he'll find something for you to do around
the office."

She smiled. "I think he might even find the funds to
give you a little advance so that you can buy some clothes and get a place to
live until you get on your feet... If you ever need anything, my door is always
opened to you."

There were tears in the old man's eyes. "How can I ever
thank you?" he said. "Don't thank me," the woman answered.
"To God goes the glory. Thank Jesus...... He led me to you."

Outside the cafeteria, the officer and the woman paused at
the entrance before going their separate ways.... "Thank you for all your help,
officer," she said.

"On the contrary, Ms. Eddy," he answered.
"Thank you. I saw a miracle today, something that I will never forget.
And.. And thank you for the coffee."

God is going to shift things around for you today and let
things work in your favor. Give him all
the Glory and pay it forward (and sometimes backwards!)

Good Morning Purple / Alley / Terbo ---- glad you enjoyed the story - I love the Nice Karma - and basically we are going to be receiving it or "paying" it with our actions - We may not always be able to see the results of our actions but I know the "good stuff" can / does give us a good feeling inside -

I plan to participate here and contribute as much as time allows - I am working a lot but will find the time somehow to bring some encouragement and contemplative thoughts -

Thank you all for the friendly atmosphere and welcome!! I love it and it feels so good to be among friends ! <3 <3 <3 <3

Pay It Forward

My daughter turned 5 years old 4/15 2013. She wanted to make people smile. We bought 18 long stem Roses at Safeway. Grace Randomly handed out these roses to who "she" felt could use a smile. The response was more profound than even I expected. 7 people's day changed from horrible days to great ones 11 took pictures with her, 3 cried and came back for hugs, and told her how much it meant to them. One I swear held my daughter for 10 minutes sobbing (she was missing her children that day). One woman (at the coinstar) gave her a HUGE gummy toothless smile and told her she now has faith in our children of today. I gave her $10. She stated "I can now buy meat for dinner to feed my family". I am so proud of her selflessness on her 5th birthday. We need to do this more often. Pay it forward, teach your children!

Story from a friend on Facebook today!

Good morning, Uneek, I hope that all is well with you and yours this fine day- Keep your chin up and be proud- It will be a great day when we can pay forward what needs to be accomplished for the people that have nothing or lacking happiness and love! We shall make it a reality for those that truly need it! And give them the love and warmth that they so desperately deserve! A bright smile on those faces would be a sight to behold-

Great sharing here !! I love it!

There is such truth in the advice to get our eyes off of ourselves. The more we dwell on self, the more we magnify our own problems the deeper we go into depression, sadness, self pity. But, if we turn our eyes and hearts to the needs of others, and become active in the restoration of them, the less room we have to wallow in our own miseries. What we put our thoughts, mind, energies, hearts, spirit to, we will recieve in kind. Your own needs shall be met by another who is also not focusing on themelves, but on you. God has a way of working those things out.

Pay it Forward - Karma - Law of Attraction - The Secret - no matter what we call it, it all comes back to - LOVE ONE ANOTHER...

YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW Empty Re: YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW

Post by UNEEK Fri Sep 27, 2013 7:17 pm

Ponee - thank you - you brought tears to my eyes -- I have been very emotional lately - it has been a very  very trying couple of months - and especially the past couple weeks - You know in this human experience we can be dependent - co dependent - and independent all to a fault - it takes discipline and work to be interdependent -

I have become very "independent"  (to a fault at times probably "most" of the time) in a lot of ways due to the life path that I am on - Some say I am strong - but I sure do not feel strong at all!!! I would love to be rescued from myself today (smile) Where is that Knight in Shinning  Armor?? (smile)

I do keep pressing down -- pressing on and pressing through  - It takes a very conscious - deliberate - determined effort and it means accepting some pain sometime  -- it is so like with the body builders - as soon as the weight becomes easy they increase it - Life can do that too

Your beautiful flowers and words really gave me the boost and reminded me of what I have quoted myself - To keep on doing what ever it is that you can do - it does matter - it does get noticed -it does make a difference - To the world we may be just one -- but to one we may be the world - it is tough to keep pressing when this human form gets so much resistance  (and I know what I would say to the person if they said that to me) lol

I have sensed that maybe folks are tired of my ramblings of being kind - and positive - and compassionate - grateful - forgiving - patient - on and on  because they don't feel that way - they do not feel that life has been that way to them -  and maybe they think that I am preaching or a miss goody 2 shoes and do not mean it

it is so not that way at all - I just would like to stop the pain -  I know too well what it is like  - but folks have become hard -indifferent - they don't want to feel pain either but don't seem to mind inflicting it -  More people are more comfortable being angry - They harden their hearts so they do not feel the pain and seem to be okay not feeling anything -while they do not realize or do not care that others are not harden and they do feel - and feel deeply

I could go on and on with more rambling but will spare the eyes and ears --I do not have the education in politics and / or economics so I could not carry on an intelligent  dialogue with any of those on these boards about those topics - it appears to me from a lot of reading from members everywhere that is first and foremost on their minds -

I only know what I know  - I only have my eyes to see the pain -my ears to hear the pain - my heart to feel the pain and my voice to help stop the pain - and arms to embrace the pain  -- to reach out and ((HUG))

https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=7s22HX18wDY

it is only 3 mins of  your time - please watch and be moved !!

I have watched it about 4 times and it still gives me chills and brings tears -

Post by UNEEK Fri Sep 27, 2013 8:59 pm

Ponee - I came back to delete my post feeling that I rambled on too much and may have come across negative -- By saying some of the things I did about the way it appears and that it seems to me  that there is a deficiency in America  of kindness - compassion - respect - etc  that it may give the impression that I am negative and only see the negative --Hey I do not want to be the Debbie downer !!(smile)

I do see and feel it around but that is not what is in my heart -- If the quote is truly true " A man sees in the world what he carries in his heart" - then  I may have had a different perspective when I first came upon it -

Now  I do see a lot of pain in the world - and yes I guess I do carry a lot of pain in my heart -  but that does not mean that I want to inflict it or attract it - So if a person sees hate does that mean that they  hate and that they will attract more hate to himself?

Well again I am rambling to myself - I will figure it out - this fog will rise one day soon and all will be clearer -  Ok all done I think  - guess I will leave the post - if you feel compelled to remove I understand (smile)

Please do not delete your post Uneek.  I love the openess and the fact that it is actually thought provoking.  You wrote from your heart.  Trust your heart. I think there are many that are reading that feel your trueness in it and you never know who you are touching.  We have almost 900 readers a day that come through the site.  And believe me, there are many - me included- that need more than the dinar chatter.  You are a breath of fresh air.

UNEEK...you are truly unique...as are we all...
we love you for your words and who you are,for me,there is no reason to justify your thoughts.
We are, after all, just individuals living out our time here, within the immediate circumstances which surround us and make up our lives...sometimes,selfishly,not caring enough about others who may be affected by this...or perhaps not even noticing the impact we are having on those around us.
You are a wonderful individual, and I always look forward to,and read your words with admiration.
