Council of Ministers announces the decisions of the eighth regular session of 2013

The of the normal eighth session of the Council of Ministers was held in Baghdad today Tuesday, March 5, 2013 under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and issued the following decisions:

1. The approval the insolvency of civilian and military debt to the Egyptian side in accordance with the Paris Club agreement on Iraq and social security benefits exchange of Egyptian workers in Iraq after the checking of documents submitted to the Iraqi government.

2. Approval to authorize Minister of Foreign Affairs the authority to negotiate and sign a draft agreement on the privileges and immunities of Prohibition of Chemical Weapons Organization between the Republic of Iraq and the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, as amended by the State Advisory Board based on the provisions of Article (80 / item VI) of the Constitution .The Foreign Ministry is to prepare and document the authorization necessary on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Iraq to the Minister of Foreign Affairs , according to the contexts approved and submit to the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers to obtain the signature of the President of the Council of Ministers.

3. The adoption of the national strategy combating violence against women in Iraq (2013-2017) provided by the Office of the Minister of State for Women's Affairs.

4. Approval to recommendations of follow-up & executing committee of implementing the innovation of the Arab Center for International Law allocating of one billion Iraqi dinars for the founding the center added from the State Department budget for the years 2013 and 2014 from the contingency reserve after passing a law of the federal budget for fiscal year 2013 to ensure that the proposed establishment of the center within the proposals of the Republic of Iraq for being President current of the Arab summit .The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers is to ensure a building qualified and suitable to be headquarters of the Centre in coordination with the Ministry of Finance / State Real Estate department .
