Parliamentary Commission of Economy calls for the central bank to take measures to reduce the real exchange rate of the dollar

Student member of the Committee of Economy and Investment parliamentary Aziz Sharif Mayahi the central bank to take real action to reduce the height is not reasonable at the exchange rate of the dinar against the dollar.
He said in a press statement today: "The central bank is not serious measures to reduce the height of the unreasonable price of the dollar and Dinarmkabl which we consider routine procedures is feasible and can be accessed through the real solutions."

He added: "The demands of today's central bank to take practical measures and rapidly through accountability and follow-up banks that have been delegated drainage more accurately and the replacement and removal of some influential people in the Central Bank who are manipulating the exchange rate."

He continued: "The brokers were manipulating the market price of the dollar have become in the market without any accountability," calling on the central bank to "refrain from statements sterile and move more realistic through the concrete and deliberate action on the ground."

The domestic market is witnessing a big increase in foreign exchange rates and despite the numerous measures undertaken by the central bank, but the exchange rate is still high. Ended 2

They are right about the darn moneychangers.

When we first moved to an area and didn't have a local bank set up - and direct deposit for me wasn't set up yet, I went to a "check cashing" place. OMG - what they took from my check was unreal to me. This is what the Iraqi people are dealing with.

Until they trust the banks, they will still consider going to a money changer - because part of thier money is better than losing it all - and the have lost it all in the past.

So sorry to hear that they don't get "you can come exchange for cheaper at the bank - you don't have to deposit"

Hopefully the article in thier paper about them being able to pay thier rent or mortgage payment at the bank in whatever form of payment they bring, and being traded at the current exchange rate, will help them realize the bank is not the bad guy...

Credit Unions can be a better deal, because, depending on the Credit Union, you may be able to get better deals, and other offers that banks can't or won't give you- Check it out and see- Smile

Don't know that they have credit unions in Iraq - I know I use one here in the States. If we could only get teh Iraqi's to trust theirs again.....

If you have a credit union close by, and have the time, just go in and ask to speak to the manager, and see what they have to say, and what they can do for you- It never hurts to ask or find out, right? You might be surprized!:cheers:
