e]10 Things I've learned as a Dinarian by devildogmom
The Dinar Ride is like a one way road trip to an amazing destination. The planning and anticipation of the trip are half the fun. The drive itself is a journey to enjoy with eyes wide open, taking in the beauty along the way. Once we reach our destination, we will find satisfaction in knowing we made it and that it was the ride of a lifetime.
Here are some things I’ve learned on this ride so far:
Patience is something you acquire when you realize you do not control events, and make a choice to sail through smoothly.
Although we may not always agree with one another, I believe in the goodness that lies within our souls.
.Words are powerful instruments and better used for lifting up, than for taking down. Speak kindly or hold your thought. The echo of harshness is long and damaging . . . The echo of kindness is long and healing. Which do you prefer?
It feels really good to touch one another with shared virtual smiles, hugs, tears, and laughter.
As a group of people, we are all smarter and stronger.
Blind trust is a disservice to yourself and those you place it in. Follow your intuition, but do your own homework so as to educate yourself.
Things aren’t always what we expect or wish for and that’s when we must “adapt and overcome” (as a marine near and dear to me has said).
Laughter and silliness is good medicine and relieves stress.
If you want help with something, all you have to do is say so. Dinarians are a very diverse group of people, from whom I have learned so much.
And even after all that learning from dinarians, sometimes it’s a good idea to shut down the computer and hold someone in your arms.
We are going to get to our destination when we get there. There is nothing we can do personally to change that. So, we may as well enjoy the fellowship of a very fine group of people in the interim.
I would like to sincerely and humbly, convey my gratitude for those of you who have left your paw prints on my heart. I am so thankful for you!
What have you learned? Please share. Peace, Love, and Happiness, devildogmom

Getting ready to rock and roll. Ha ha! Hopefully we will be rolling some rocks around today at least to make it look good with our gates opened. I love that "O" thinks things are good in the private sector of buisness because I haven't noticed.

Yes, I do enjoy the ride, but as anyone, I hope it ends soon-And, yes, the friends I have gotten to know and have spoken with are ALL awesome, and there is much love and understanding that has been lovingly shared here- It doesn't get any better than that anywhere-Some of the best people in the world reside here and this, in my opinion,is the 'home' of all homes, and that is where 'true friends and family'are-

'O' doesn't know what he's talking about, because if he did, he wouldn't say things he knows little or nothing about-

Re: Things I've Learned as A Dinarian
Look at you happy people. What a pleasant start to the week. We have our challenges, but we deal with what we can, ignore those things we cannot change, and forge ahead. I like to come here for a dose of "positivity"...Thanks, you guys! :flower:
