Government plans to build one million housing units to alleviate the housing crisis in Iraq.


This was according to Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki during his attendance at the signing ceremony held Basmajh residential project with the company (Hanwa), South Korea.


Maliki said that "the project includes Basmajh building schools, hospitals and other service projects needed by the project," noting that "the prices Basmajh project would be suitable for the Iraqi people through installments over (20) years."


He added that "there are other projects similar to project Basmajh in the rest of the provinces to alleviate the housing crisis that has plagued Iraq," adding that "The beginning was difficult, but we walk the road to construction."
