YOUR PERSONALITY TYPE
Your PERSONALITY TYPE formula according to Carl Jung and Isabel Briggs Myers
typology along with the strengths of the preferences --
I
have recently taken this test and was very amazed at how accurate it
was to describing my personality -- I feel it can be very helpful in
understanding our "self" -- I hope you will take the test and share
some feedback on your results - I am TYPE ~ I N F J --
This
test was so revealing and so accurate to who I am today -- I wonder if -
or rather - how different it would have been 20 yrs ago -- I sure was
not living the same life then - Would my inner self have been able to show
through?
Well :-)
what matters is the "NOW" - and as far as I can tell I am living a life
of an Intuitive Introverted Idealist with lots and lots of Feeling -- I
have pretty much considered myself as an extrovert because of my
friendly outgoing behavior - but according to my test results - which I
do agree with -- they show that I am more of an introvert - the
explanation clearly points out the reasons -
Once
you check out your results - there are so many more links available
for further exploration -- I particularly enjoyed seeing the list of
well known and famous people that were to have the same personality as
I -- I was disappointed that Einstein was not on the list ughhhhh :-)

Re: YOUR PERSONALITY TYPE
Another part of this I found to be pretty interseting was the "careers" synopsis.
The list produced basesd on my test results showed
Management
Public Administration
education
These 3 from the list are things I am actually very active in all the time. Forms of these 3 are an intrigal part of the work I currently am in. Being self employed changes the things one might need to be encompassed in to get the needed results. Thanks again uneek

Re: YOUR PERSONALITY TYPE
Thanks everyone for participating and sharing -- It can be a very helpful tool in acknowledging and addressing areas in our life --
I was a little surprised that I was an introvert - but on some levels if that is the correct word -- I do see my self very reserved at times and maybe not quite the aggressive initiator in meeting people --
I am very open and giving and warm to the reception once the ice has been broken though --

Re: YOUR PERSONALITY TYPE
I am an introvert by choice now as age has happened but that was not the case in my youth.
So maybe I am just anti social and not an introvert?

Re: YOUR PERSONALITY TYPE
Interestingly enough, I retook it today and came up ISTP--Introverted Sensing Thinking Perceiving ... so I took a different test here http://keirsey.com/ and came up with similar results. Now the I and the T were the strong ones and the others were pretty low scores, so perhaps it's just mood. Either way, the vocation types are very similar ... analytical, technical jobs like engineering ... Actually I think the Craftsman (ISTP) is likely the more accurate as I have always been the hands on, nuts and bolts, do it right and make it look good as well type.

Re: YOUR PERSONALITY TYPE
Kevin, Is it possible that after taking the "test" once and even though a different "tester" you might have "seen" the answers and questions in a different way?? Just a thought.
Could that attribute to a different outcome?

Re: YOUR PERSONALITY TYPE
Possibly, of course when you look at the numbers, the T & P and the N & J were quite weak ... the T and N were single digits and the others were under 20, while in both the I and the T were both well over 50. So it could just as easily been mood.

Re: YOUR PERSONALITY TYPE
I guess this is like me....
ENFJ
slightly expressed extravert
moderately expressed intuitive personality
moderately expressed feeling personality
moderately expressed judging personality(this part I don't understand, not unless its because I look at all sides of things)
This is true about me.....
ENFJs know and appreciate people. Like most NFs, (and Feelers in general), they are apt to neglect themselves and their own needs for the needs of others. They have thinner psychological boundaries than most, and are at risk for being hurt or even abused by less sensitive people. ENFJs often take on more of the burdens of others than they can bear.
As far as the career part....
Psychology...that is what I wanted to major in, in college, and my dad wanted me to do something else. I changed over to accounting, business management.
Both of these are listed as jobs for me....Psychology top on the list! Guess I should have done what I wanted to!

Wow Horizon we are soooo much alike -- you are the extrovert and I am the introvert the others are the same --
It has been great to see folks participate and share -- I really really liked the way you shared with more detail as I did not memorize the letters and their meanings -- anyway -- this has been fun --
Still hoping and looking for others to share - Have a Blessed evening all and Happy Mothers Day -- I will share and reply more tomorrow

Re: YOUR PERSONALITY TYPE
I took this test a year ago and again today with the same type results -
I do not remember what the percentages were but would guess they are
pretty close to same -
I am not sure about the last one and if it is "good" or could use some fine tuning -- OR if over the last couple of years it has indeed already been fine tunes -- lol I guess a real professional could tell me that for a fee -- $$ lol - Here are my results: I N F J- Introverted Intuitive Feeling Judging
Strength of the preferences % 44 50 69 56
You are
moderately expressed introvert
moderately expressed intuitive personality
distinctively expressed feeling personality
moderately expressed judging personality
John Bradshaw, Mother Teresa, Nelson Mandela, John Calvin, Nicole Kidman
Social Work – Education – Psychotherapist/Counseling - Design - Librarian – All of these fit me and are actively expressed in my daily / professional life
The first criterion,
Extraversion - Introversion
defines the source and direction of energy expression for a person. The extravert has a source and direction of energy expression mainly in the external world while the introvert has a source of energy mainly in the internal world.
The second criterion,
Sensing - INtuition
defines the method of information perception by a person. Sensing means that a person believes mainly information he or she receives directly from the external world. Intuition means that a person believes mainly information he or she receives from the internal or imaginative world.
The third criterion,
Thinking - Feeling
defines how the person processes information. Thinking means that a person makes a decision mainly through logic. Feeling means that, as a rule, he or she makes a decision based on emotion.
The fourth criterion,
Judging - Perceiving
defines how a person implements the information he or she has processed. Judging means that a person organizes all his life events and acts strictly according to his plans. Perceiving means that he or she is inclined to improvise and seek alternatives.
The different combinations of the criteria determine sixteen possible types. Every type can be assigned a name (or formula) according to the first letters of the combination of the four criteria.
