It is becoming more and more obvious Al Maliki is trying desperately to hold on to his power and position and he will say and do anything to achieve that end. Now he is trying to interfere with the CBI which equals money in his pocket if he succeeds. He has been warned that he has no say in the affairs of CBI and cannot just assign one of his buddies to replace Shabibi.
The situation with him is getting worse but at the same time it is getting better. He needs to be gone and in that land he can disappear at a moments notice... I certain it has been considered... silly man.
I think we may be seeing the final gasp for Al Maliki. He needs to go to his new apartment in London, and consider himself lucky to still be on Earth.
This week should be a very interesting one in Iraq.
