Where do we think we are?
There sure is a lot of guesses and conjecture about where we are right now in this crazy adventure. Lets together look at some of what we can see that Might be real. Or not!
Good afternoon all, I'm glad to see you, Hoping you are all doing fine on this great day. It really is a great day you know, as we are here and able to make ammends for our past also to make new starts in the way we walk and live from here on out.
Ready? Ok then lets get to the fun. We are now past the summit and on the last day of quarter one for this year. The stories are here saying the quarter is our next clue. Who knows? What we do know is that finally P M Maliki has met with the Emir of Kuwait and neered the end of their "personal" problems, ie the border, port and, reperation monies due. Ban Ki-Moon even back this up. Also we know that the of the inattendance of the summit has to mean something. I do believe that this is not meerly because of the probs stemming of Iran and Syria but internal issues in Iraq.
We have heard the countries like China have been excerting pressure in Iraq to get things done. I dont think so! More than likely "pressure" has shown by the lack of inthusiasim if this summit. The Arab community in general will not ever admit but I believe these countries see Iraq as a sort of New beginning for the region. A region where world cooperation will be paramount.
There is a lot of banter going about as to who or what may be holding this game up. I say to you NOTHING! Nothing is holding anything up. Take 1 example and 1 only. With all the preperation that has gone into this deal How can anybody still think that any one man can get in the way. Thats nuts! One person gets in the way...Can you spell elimination? Not meaning necessarily killing somebody but just stop them from being a prob.Yes, there are a lot of ways to accomplish this without a bullet!
Peeps also Love to blame! Why? Whats the point? If you listen to certain things you very well know or should know are wrong why do you listen? Dont get me wrong here you are entitled to listen to what ever you wish but come on...I'll just say ...things change on a dime. Actually no they don't! THE PLAN people that is what this is about nothing more!
One question I have for you is this...What if we don't actually see this this week? What if we do? What if we really do need wait til September? How are you going to act? Please allow me to step out here...Noone can change you but you. A bad attitude will stick with you forever unless you decide to not! So will a good one. Please do for yourself and be ready for what ever may come! We truly dont really know what or when. Also you only get today once!
However it is great fun to listen to all the thoughts that come across this board, some of them are actually very good, some entertaining and, some pure crap. Thus as to why this post. Please "entertain all of us with your thoughts BUT please keep it nice (I have to say that being a mod and all, LOL) So bring on your thoughts and lets see what we all think!
Every day really is a great day! Make it a great day for YOU and someone you know!
Thank you for being here I do love you all so.

Re: Where do we think we are?
What a great post rick152! Unfortuantely I think we are a ways off yet, however, every day there seems to be progress made and every day we are one step closer. I can tell you this, if it doesn't happen next week well I will be doing the same thing I did last week and the week before that and the week before that, living life the best way we can and taking care of things that need to be taken care of on a daily basis. I really enjoy coming in here daily to get the normal every day peoples' perspective and not so much the intel providers, I still read what the intel providers say but mainly because I like reading! I like interacting with everyday people just like me, it keeps it real and the people in here are great! No matter how hard it is or whether we want to or not we need to remain positive in ALL aspects of our lives not just the Dinar part because Gods love can't shine through negativity! Thanks again rick152 for the great post!

Re: Where do we think we are?
A big part of the lack of attendance was the Sunni/Shiite thing. Face it they hate each other almost as much as they hate Israel. Iraq is predominately Shiite and most of the no-shows were Sunni, in the end it comes down to that ....

Re: Where do we think we are?
Thank you all for your graciousness in your replies.
Kevin I know you are right about the sunni / shiite differences. However in the past have those differences kept summits from being productive? Did The House of Saud say they weren't attending because of sectarian differences? We know of their differences but do / would their agenda as Muslim (basically) lead them to thwart combining their efforts to grow as a people? Or was (as we have heard) the reason for the no-show be about the completion of the state of Iraq?
