Congress voted on a financial budget for the current year within the budget bill in 2012.


According to a parliamentary source told all of Iraq [where] said Thursday that "members of the House of Representatives voted to approve the financial budget allocated to the Parliament for the current year and included in the budget bill for fiscal 2012."

House of Representatives voted to allocate [25]% of oil imports and Finance for distribution to the Iraqi people.


The MP said the Sadrists Jawad Alshahyla in a statement received by all of Iraq [where] a copy of it today that "the House of Representatives voted to approve the proposal of the Sadrist movement within the budget bill, fiscal year 2012 allocation [25]% of the increase in oil exports are distributed to the people the Iraqi people in the budget this year. "


The MP for the coalition of state law fair-Maliki has assured [where] that "the budget in 2012 included a proposal to the Sadrist movement, where it was agreed that the calculated [20]% of oil imports paid to the Iraqi people after the agreement on the mechanism regulating this process to be put through Six months from the date of approval of the financial budget. "

I sure hope for the Iraqis' sake it's paid based on exports and not imports....HUGE difference

doodoo, The Arabic language sort of like spanish translates backwards in some positions. Here imports means "to other places" Imports are what others take out of Iraq. They import from Iraq. So the translation needs to be read that way. Hope that helps. ...rick152

My worries were that parliament would not pass the budget, hcl, etc. and it would drag on like last year without being accomplished and we would be looking at 2013.

It appears that they really might have the Arab Summit the end of March and it apprears that they are actually getting things done. I was impressed that Parliament stayed late last night to finish it.

Next step is to get it approved by the ministers and placed in The Gazette. Here's hoping that goes smoothly.

they did not say hcl but what they said was they approved 25% of oil revenue for people thats sounds like hcl they are holding the offical announcement i believe

Article 1 B :Calculation of revenues from export of crude oil on the basis of average price of $ (85) dollars per barrel and the rate of export of $ (2.6 million) barrels per day (two million six hundred thousand barrels per day), including (175,000) barrels per day (one hundred and seventy-five thousand barrels per day) on the quantities of oil crude oil produced in the province of Kurdistan and the intervention of all revenue actually in the Development Fund for Iraq (DFI), or any other form is replaced after the deduction of (5%) of compensation for Kuwait war, or any other rate determined by the Security Council and repaid to the United Nations.
