Why does it seem people cant stay on topic anymore?

Maybe its just me but does it seem like almost every thread gets hijacked and goes off course completely? I have to read thru 2 pages of nonsense to get to a few posts that actually are related to the original post. Maybe the off topic posts could just keep it in the coffee room or something? Just seems like it would flow better without the hijacking. JMHO

Good thought, theralbutterly! Sounds like the subject of 'how to stay on topic' might be what this thread is all about. Let's see if we can keep it 'focused'... and 'flowing' well. Wonder if there's a reader that might feel comfortable to 'jump in' and 'weigh in' on the subject. Opinions will vary... but the 'core' content should be remembered as we move along... What a WONDERFUL place to share, agree, question, comment, challenge and explore the thoughts of others. (nicely of course). Bring it on! The very BEST is yet to come! Oh, and thanks so much for the posts you have made... I really enjoy reading your heart!

It seems like that trend has been going on for several weeks now, especially since everyone is posting gingerly on pins and needles afraid to get banned for saying what they really want to say. Easy to go off topic when your beating around the bush.

Everyone is free to say what they want to say it ... how they want to say it can be another matter. All any of us ask is keep it polite and stay within the rules, they've been posted enough that most of us should have them memorized by now.

I am not saying to not have fun talk and chit chat and all that, just not within a topic. Thats all. I say have all the fun you want just in its own threads or something Just makes it easier on those that actually are trying to read the comments about the topic.
