I am with you cynthia. After the summer hype i backed off of reading any of it....then once again I got caught up with the , before new year... After that, I was totally done. But if others want to read it, that is their choice.

Been gone about 11 hours, when I left, five pages, now 11 WOW!!!!!

Three things come to mind when I read the posts, and yes I read everyone, took 20+minutes.

1. It was really good to see members who have been members a while some, from day one, come on and vote, and post a comment, some for the first time, that was really great!!!!! Nice to know they really are out there.

2. In the last couple of pages I thought I was reading about Florida in the 2000 election all over again.

3. Still, only about 5% of the members care one way or another, as 95% still has not voted.

Some of the comments were "we are all grown-ups, we can handle it", that may be true, but a few members seem to drag every (Rumor, intel, info, whatever you want to call it), thread to the gutter, So maybe we are not ALL grown-ups after all.

Yes this is a private site, with public access, but it is a member driven site, maybe with some self censure, this poll would not have been needed?

Why can't you mark rumors as rumors? That way, if people want to read rumors, they can go to that location. In my opinion, it's all mostly rumor until this thing actually happens. I have finally decided on whom I can depend, after several years of this, and who gives as honest an answer as they are able. I have also decided who is fulla bulla, and I don't give those people the time of day, even when other people are vouching for them and saying how great they are. You just get the feel for things after a while, and you know whom to listen to with rapt attention and whom to ignore. I also get tired of the 'it's happening tomorrow or in 12 hours, etc.", but I like to see a window of opportunity.

We have a forum for Bible Quotes at OOM, We have no forum for political views at OOM, but we do at OOM2,

Yes, things in this world change daily, hourly, but they are not all, (very few) are IQD related.

Your assumptions as to what I do and don't believe are just that, your assumptions. Do not think that you can determine my thoughts by what I post, as I, like a few others may or may not disclose our thoughts in our posts, one may think we are, but those that do, might be sadly mistaken. I would be willing to bet, and I have not placed a bet since 1986, that you would guess wrong on how I voted in the poll, if you took your assupmtions from my posts.

As far as the truth (to you) being posted, if it does not fit in a forum (as OOM is now set up), it belongs over at OOM2, another FREE site, where anyone can go and explore.

And for your last line, I would sugest you read the rules set forth by the owners of this site, If you have not seen them, they are on the left of your screen. You might be a bit happier in the long run.

Holy COW!!!!! How many archived names did you guys set up when you opened your site? Hundreds would be my guess. Is that how these webs sites start? Would totally make sense though. In order to get the advertisers don't they go by traffic? I would bet my last dinar that this like so much else about this creative black hole of an "investment" is manipulated. But I would imagine that very few get that. That said just from the numbers here that are populating this poll seems that the controversy will drive the numbers up. The saying if its not broke don't fix it comes to mind.

If there is one more thing we do not need is more censorship. That is our biggest problem in the country right now. Most people believe only the things that the news media delivers into their living room. Talk about the "kool-aid"! Only a small percentage of the masses realize that all of the major media outlets are controlled by the same person(s) or group. True journalism is almost non existent. It went by way of our other rights.

Keep it alive.

Furthermore, a post, whether it is good or bad, substantiated or not, promotes thought. With a little luck, the reader may finally start to think on their own without consulting CNN or Snoops.

When I set up this site, I paid for it and all the chats out of my own pocket... I also did not have time to just sit here and think up new account names... There is no manipulation going on here... cant believe you said that... You were the one that suggested to use the email blast to get more people to vote...

So I did, and then set it for another 24 hours...

We could have stopped it at the first 24 hours...

There might be one more thing that our good freind purpleskz did not think of,

Have you ever wondered how many members, for one reason or another, have/had been banned and they just sign up under another name/email account?

I know of more than a few, some as many as 3-4 even 5 times, no way to stop that, unless the IP address is added to the list also, then the site runs the risk of banning one and causing more than one not to be able to read the posts, due to one persons acts

.And to make to a little harder some members have namy, many IP address',

So it it possible for some members to try to skew the poll, it would have a slight diference, but be assured, that the Admin/Mods don't have the time, to play games.

Morning all, Well the poll is almost over. I would like to see if possible, still a Rumors spot with a Hugh disclaimer
and possibly a members spot where us local members could post they're words
That way the members who have thoughts would be seperated from the other(outside) rumors, That way those who wish not to hear the Guru goboldegook could avoid with ease but still get "thoughts, conversation, and info that us local members bring of our own.
This would be a good way to seperate and everyone gets what they want
Any guru stuff posted in the wrong place simply gets deleted...No warning. But could be reposted (by a poster) to the correct place.
Maybe the best(worst) of all worlds...What do ya think Miske and all? ...rick152

Yes, every OOM account requires it's own email address. To sit around making up thousands of email accounts and the thousands of OOM accounts to go with them ....wow, who has the time. So to think that there is admin manipulation...that is silly.

HAHA... you know what PSz... we really dont have time for it... but there are a major amount of members that when they stir the pot and we end up banning them... its more times than not found... that THEY have other accounts... so any trumped up membership count... can be blamed on the members...
